Any of you knows if JetBlue is hiring? i don't see the openings on their website.
Thank you for the help.

Application window is closed. Next one is rumored to open in July.

Approximately 200 pilots have been hired so far this year, 100+ projected for the remainder of 2014.

Anyone know what the commute would be like working for JetBlue and living in ORD? Thinking about applying when the window opens. Can JB pilots take the FA jumpseat?

For the very short time I was with jB I did a 2 leg commute via ORD. Worked great. Never had to ride up front on jB and having both AA and UAL also going to BOS made it pretty easy.

If you want a job at jetblew, think flight attendant.

Because young, fabulous flight attendants will be the ones interviewing you.

Them's the facts.

I had two interviews....1Pilot/1FA and then 1Pilot/1HR type.

All were pleasant which is all I could ask for.

Always Mr. Sunshine".........

Well his point is well taken and very truthful. I was interviewed by 2 flight attendants back in 2008. Neither of them seem very educated or experienced in regards to interviewing. I thought it was kind of strange at the time and I am disappointed to hear that they are still doing that.

Yes, JB pilots can sit in the FA jumpseat. ORD-BOS might be easier than ORD-JFK, since you'd probably be using LGA for more frequent service.

Check passrider.com for an idea if who flies what times.

I'm out of ORD/MDW at B6 based in JFK. Commute is the easiest it will ever be besides driving. Around 3 and hour to LGA on AA, UAL, Delta, and Spirit About 10 a day to JFK with Delta, B6 and AA. And 5 a day from MDW to LGA. And there's always EWR too. Flights are never full. Only problem is there was/is weather in Chicago, the next day it's in NY. Oh and flights start @6am and end @9pm. And something will always be delayed. I don't even plan ahead anymore. I just show up at the airport when I'm ready.

Hey, those are our new uniform pants. I didn't realize they looked that bad on TV. I guess the camera distorts the wonderful window pane pattern.

To all with problems in their past be it training, or arrests, or especially strange behavior...

...jetblew needs you. They figure, even if they can't keep you out of jail, they can keep you from Delta and American.

Plus, with all the gratitude you'll show for actually being given the chance to fly at a "major" you'll be easily transmorgafied into a silly smurf with blue rubber gloves.

Linepilot is a perfect example of this. Thanks for sharing your past.

You know as well as I do that there was a time when jetblew only hired military time, A320 experience, and furloughed majors. They used the 320 guys to help train the military guys and some of the idiots they had running the simulators.

Back then they had a much bigger pack of lies to sell you on but it was a buyers market for airlines so their standards were much higher. It's a buyers market no more and the standards at this place will be "colored" more and more with corporate speak.

Just watch and learn. Just like you learned the jetblew health care lesson.

Every airline will face these challenges in the coming years with the thinning of the heard of available candidates for this job. Some will just face it sooner and I believe we will be one of them due to the past choices made by our Management team.

I just had a new guy on the jumpseat doing his observation rides. He came straight to the Airbus from Cape Air. He's never flown anything larger than a 402. These are our current new-hires.

Cape Air gateway guys have been part of the new hires for a long time. We have plenty of qualified applicants.

You guys act like flying an Airbus is like flying the Space Shuttle or something...
