I won't turn this into a AWA versus a JB debate as much as you would like to engage in it. It is just somewhat hysterical that JB is being played, 2 dogs (a JB) pilot makes light of it and you slam him since he brings about points that apparently the rest of you would like to go undetected.

As someone else mentioned, complaining on a public bb is not conducive to anything and does nothing to further your cause.

Do ya'll have a Private BB to conduct discussions and kick around thoughts, ideas, and criticisms?

The exchange of opinions in an open forum is a dangerous thing, you know. It can lead to changes. I keep wondering why the founding fathers of our nation put so much weight on freedom of speech. After all, didn't they find such speech to be intimidating and threatening? Well, anyhow, we've somehow managed to make it this far even WITH that nagging little thing holding us back.

350Driver,

Curious why, when discussing pay, you do not wish to compare AW vs JBLU, but have no problem comparing JBLU to other airlines?

2dogs appears to be here merely for the entertainment value and does not put post anything other than flamebait with little substance.

Yes, discussions can lead to changes, that is, if they are constructive, not merely meant to flame or instigate same.

Please correct me if I am mistaken but at what point in this thread did I directly make a pay comparison between JB and any other carriers?. I kind of thought so. It has little to do with pay and everything to do with the business practice, platform, etc, that is currently in place. I was merely making a comment on one of your own coming out of the wood work with some pretty straightfoward observations and he get's flamed due to this being a "public" message board.

350driver,

"maybe he should praise ya'll for setting the bar so high". Perhaps I am inferring something from that sentence!

2Dogs has made what observations? That the pay is too low? Yep, he sure did, but I do believe that discussion was ongoing before he showed up. Other than that, not sure what his points are nor has he suggested a novel solution. Now, he may think, the he is the only one who has voiced an opinion and due to him, there has been change, but he would be in error. Plenty of pilots wrote the powers that be and voiced their concerns. The difference is, most of them did not come here and acted all righteous.

Guys,

There are a few folks on this board trying very hard to create infighting and negativity at JetBlue, with the hopes of attracting a union. 2Mutts is one of 'em. Please ignore him so he goes away.......

Lighten up a little dude.

I know being a company "lap dog" can really stress one out!

We won the contract/agreement battle. relax!

No thanks to you or your kind.

We will address pay in about 9-12 months

I've seen this guy, one minute it's an attack on JB, then another it's a start of a somewhat meaningful thread...
Just another flip flopper-- definitely a John Kerry supporter!!

Yeah, what JB320 said!

You seem to have all the other answers about JB, why are you asking this one?

You have done nothing but bash and insult JB and it's pilots and people and now you appear to ask a legimate question?

Some nerve.

And another thing; I remember a thread I believe you started a week or so ago where you accused me of not being able to read and comprehend the email from JB management regarding the retraction of the work agreement. It would only make sense that if you had read that email yourself, and knew enough about it that you fly for JB as well. If you do, you know where to go to get your questions answered directly and you don't need to get them here on Flightinfo.com.

Nice try at flamebait though. Swing and a miss!
Hey 2 Dogs, who let you out of the kennel?

At least your AVITAR drops his crap on the paper.

One pilot group. You will be hired as a JetBlue pilot, then have the chance to choose between the E190 and the A320.
That link doesn't quite work for me - - had to chop off after "workhere" and navigate to the pilot job.

It says:
Pilot Work Status: Full Time

Location: (NYC) JFK,New York

Description:

JetBlue Pilots fly Airbus A320s, which are among the most sophisticated aircraft in commercial aviation today.

It doesn't say anything about having a "chance to choose between" the A320 and the E190 - - in fact, it doesn't even mention the E190.

You are right the direct link does not work. So http://www.jetblue.com/workhere/ and go job listings and then 'Flight' and then 'Pilot'.

Since all we fly right now is the A320, that is the plane we are hiring into. When, sometime *next* year, after a master bid, the E190 needs to be crewed with new-hires then folks will get the chance to choose a class. If you are in the hiring process now you will have the chance to be a E190 captain pretty dang quick. Just what I heard at a JetBlue pilot meeting from VP types, but feel free to double guess them.

What are the hiring minimums going to be for the EMB-190? Or is this published somewhere else and I just didn't see it?
Please ignore all the anti-Jetblue guys and their rhetoric. It is just like Skygod said, the minimums are the same for both aircraft even if we only have one type aircraft on the property today. The reason that our website doesn't state "pick an aircraft" is; 1) We do not currently operate E190's & 2) When we do, WE WILL HAVE ONE MASTER SENIORITY LIST!! I don't know how else to put it. I know this is probably the first inquiry you have made and you may be new here on Flightinfo but this subject has surfaced countless times and there are some folks out there that just can't understand plain english. (sorry for my ranting).

My suggestion is that if you want to fly for Jetblue (on either aircraft eventually) you should put in your application right away to get the ball rolling. Despite what you have read here on this forum, they are beating the doors down to get to work here and I am sure it will stay that way.

Unfortunately, this forum has gone downhill in the past few months and has gotten away from the valuable resource it once was. Now, all you see anymore is mud slinging, name calling, and just plain Jetblue bashing. It is fun sometimes, but getting old quick. Anyway, if you really want some good straight, honest input and answers from the gang at Jetblue, just ask and you'll get it.

Good luck.
