CFO quitting = no merger

What executive do you know that quits in the middle of a merger? This is the time for a big score for the front office. No way a suit quits staring millions in the face.

Unless he's been told that he's not included with the merger (or whatever), or he's already gathered from what he knows that he no longer wants to be a part of what's about to happen.

Should have seen the Puzzle-palace folks bail, asked to leave, on ATA in the 3 months leading to the shutdown.

None of these guys ever loses any money. Quit, fired, retired, whatever, it doesn't matter. Their contracts are set up so that before the ink is dry or they've done their first day of work, they are set for life. After the introductions to their new office staff, they're just going through the motions from then on. He'll get his millions.

Well they claimed it would be announced in the conference call. Thats not until 1pm.

I dont think its gonna happen, even more so after the 3rd quarter loss.

Refresh my memory: This merger why? It's just that B6 doesn't seem to have market share that would make a dent in AA's world.

"Stupid is as Stupid does" !!!!

The 1193 pilots who voted NO to ALPA in Jul/Aug will be eating thier words/votes and kicking themselves in the @ss if AA/JBLU merge (cause it won't be good for the JetBlue pilots). Having ALPA/any union as our rep would be better than letting JetBlue management represent the pilot in a SLI integration or McCaskill/Bond arbitration.

Again,

STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES!!!!

Just my opinion......

FNG

In a merger you may be better off being represented by Management than ALPA. SWA pilots certainly were. Your contract, union and M&B don't mean dikc to management if they decide to play that way. They are largely irrelevant unless you enjoy courtrooms and unemployment.
