Skywest to fly 12 aircraft and XJet to fly 11. It's a 4 year deal. Skywest to fly LAX to ABQ, FAT, MRY, PHX, RNO, SAF, SMF, SAN, SJC, SBA and TUS. Flights start Nov 15th.

Skywest, the Australian regional? Or SkyWest? How come everyone will trip over themselves to punctuate ExpressJet correctly, but not SkyWest?

Company FAQ says aircraft to be operated as "American Eagle" due to AMR rebranding. What are they going to call Eagle now then? Hopefully they have something better than SureJet...

Just means the American Connection name by Chautauqua will go away. All the regional flying will be called American Eagle now, no matter who does the flying. Wonder if there will be at least one more regional announcing Eagle flying soon. Also wonder if this a slow attempt by American to squeeze their wholly-owned Eagle out as Delta did to Comair.

Right, but American Eagle is an airline name in itself. So they will become American Eagle operated by ????

The official announcement says Skywest will fly as "American Eagle" and the planes will be painted in "American Eagle livery" except for 2 planes which American has agreed to let SkyWest paint in SkyWest colors. I assume this also applies to XJet.

I undertand how SkyWest/ExpressJet will be branded (didn't know anout own colors for SkyWest though), but what will American Eagle Airlines call themselves if all American feed is under the Eagle name? "American Eagle operated by AMR American Eagle Holdings" doesn't sound quite right, and they have to have something unambiguous on the tickets, reservation system, etc.
