is 40 to 45 too old to get hired at a major?

I'm right there with ya. You need to come to US/American, I'm looked at here as a snot nosed youngin'.

I'm used to that, being ex-Comair and all.
 
The last 3 classes at SWA and at least one guy over 50. Age ain't nothing anymore. Good luck.


Well the one I'm in currently (all new hires) ranges from 33-46 with a slight majority below 40.

Don't think it really matters though. SWA just looks for well qualified and easy to get along with.

And that has nothing to do with having a college degree and that is what makes SWA such a great place. They don't have HR only looking for a checked box on an application like a lot of "stuck up" airlines.

Alaska for one will not let you by the first page if you do not check the 4 yr degree.
 
Airlines that require a four year degree are trying to avoid hiring "loosers".
Like those "loosers" that get hired by SWA, JB, NJ etc?
