I thought I did. In the last 3 years AirTran has sold or deferred 47 aircraft and since September 27th they have divested their interest in all that they had left meaning AirTran has given up rights to about 150 in the last 3 years. Is that clear enough for you?

No it's not. You didn't say deferred in your original post. You said sold. But hey, even major newspapers/jounals publish corrections to their articles, so it's all good. I'm still not tracking the 150 aircraft though. We are the largest operator 0f the 717. We should have 89 on property by the end of the year (if they are not already there). We have never shrunk that fleet. The most orders of 737NG's we had was 115 (not 150). So if have 54 green and white 737's right now; 115-54-11= 50. We gave up rights to 50 737NG's in the last 6 months, not three years. If my logic is wrong, that's cool, just explain it to me.

"As of January 31, 2011, we operated 86 Boeing B717-200 aircraft (B717) and 52 Boeing B737-700 aircraft (B737) offering approximately 700 scheduled flights per day to 69 locations across the United States and the Caribbean" -Edgar Online

I mispoke too. If the two 717's come online this year it would be 88 717's. As far the 737's go, I really can't remember the source for how many we are getting this year (I don't count APC as a source), and of those which got siphoned of to SWA, I'm sure someone out there remembers the press release. We secured financing last year for all 2011 deliveries. But you know what? NONE of that matters now. Your getting them ALL!

It kind of looks like your MEC is going to make this another Muse type situation! It seems he really wants to make a name for ALPA on this integration at the expense of the Airtran Pilots. You guys have to be certain if this starts getting ugly because of the all mighty ALPA, Gary will protect his current work force. With oil headed north, who knows?

Seriously, whats the point of your post? Since you and your coworkers (the ones on this board) speak with Gary everyday and are the ones who make the decisions for him-- why in the hell do you care what ALPA is doing or what the AirTran guys believe. You, think you, know how it is going to turn out so leave the AirTran posters alone. Gosh, you Southwest guys have some real issues.

Ya think? This is all about spreading fear. They want ALPA and the AT guys to accept a deal out of fear. GK does NOT want this merger to go away, he and Wall St want it to occur, with as few problems as possible. SWAPA is nervous about an SLI, and the pressure is on. If SWAPA doesn't play nice, eventually GK will grow impatient and pressure them to either get arbitration or settle. I say, go for arbitration, it has worked great the last few times.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Gary didn't give SWAPA the thumbs up or thumbs down option this time like he did with F9. That should mean something to you, like HE WANTS THIS MERGER TO HAPPEN. Spreading fear just doesn't help, and it will probably push ALPA to an impasse, which means arbitration and probably relative seniority. Either make a deal, or GK will force you to. He and Wall St want to see good results ASAP from this merger, and each delay thrown up by SWAPA delays that.

I luv flying

The only thing I was serius about was SL8. The rest was BS to rub in the nose of OYS (DAL Pilot-SWA reject). Sorry you couldn't see the sarcasm. I'll make sure to use more smiley faces in the future.

ps. keep taking advice from guys like Gen Lee. Unlike us he only has your best interests at stake!
