Once again Redbook, I am compelled to respond to you mudslinging, insulting, lack of substance rhetoric. GJ was about a man with a dream to move on to the equipment of the future....70 and 90 seat jets. Its about a man trying to position himself and his company to be successful well into the 21st Century. It has nothing to do with circumventing any contract because circumventing contracts does not exist. A contract is just exactly as it states....A Contract. If the terms of the contract doesn't emcompass certain savvy business moves than a businessman would be foolish not to act in a manner to position himself and his company...IE Tran States Holdings....in a manner to benefit both such mentioned. I applaud his business genious.
Now, this is where us pilots come in. Our responsibility is to ourselves and our families, and I believe the company that employs us, gives us the opportunity for success. If the company you work for doesn't provide you this opportunity than you need to move on. You need to quit blaming everyone else for you lack of success and focus energy to move on, instead of spending all of your waking moment crying about how everyone else is ruining your plans for success. If you dont have what it takes than maybe the airline industry isnt for you...you seem very unhappy with it anyway so I would suggest a career change.
Now, how has GJ benifitted pilots as opposed to hurt? Not a single pilot has lost a job due to GJ and many have been given the opportunity to advance their careers. GJ has hired many regional airline pilots that where locked into a position of which they had no hope of advancement. GJ has also hired many furloughed mainline guys that would be otherwise unemployed....how is this wrong. I see this as a positive because a lot of regionals won't hire guys with experience because they want low time....ie less than two thousand hours...Why? I couldnt tell you.
Pay wise...to say that one regional making a dollar an hour less than another doesnt lower any bar. U are not taking into account QofL and at GJ, as much as you will spread lies to try to discredit....the life is great. We are growing, taking more airplanes...pilots are getting upgraded and everyone is generally happy.
You can continue to say what you want...you are not hurting us, in fact a lot are messaging me to inquire about GJ and are very exited for the possibility of an interview. I encourage all to try to get on at GJ....it will be the smartest career move you could make.
