I'm sure my former SWA CP friend will just pave the way for me too Tanker.
We can whoop it up together at the new hire party together!
(did I mention I still believe in Santa Claus too?)

The other place where you know a SWA pilot was just there is the workout room. Blaring FOX News through the entire workout room is a sure sign a pilot was just in there. Most hotel guests leave it on other channels, or on CNN. I find that interesting and amusing, from a psychological standpoint. I am pretty centered and like someone said earlier most of us are smart enough to leave that stuff at home...except for some.

Well that was almost two years ago. Just because we haven't hired any new pilots doesn't mean we haven't hired any new employees. (Terrible turnover for ramp agents, etc.) Who knows what # we're up to...and #100000 probably won't even be a pilot....

I agree with the high ramp turnover. But we are not even close to 100xxx.

I never even applied to SWA, but I might have to just to maybe visit Dallas and get a few beers with TC. Some days I need a friend too... I think between Chase and TC you get a pretty good picture of the happenings around DAL...

Yeah, I've got some questions. More people shop at Wal-Mart. Does that make it better than Whole Foods? More people watch American Idol. Does that make it better than PBS? More people buy regular. Does that make it better than premium?

Simply makes them more American. It may not appeal to you, but data doesn't lie. America votes with its wallet. It's what has made WN so successful.

In one stop I can get Tums, a water hose, baby food, 4 boxes of shells to shoot skeet, Fruit of the Loom under-drawers, diapers, apples, a $6 pre-cooked chicken, Mobil 1, toilet paper, Christmas lights, cheap Cheetos, Willie Nelson's new tape, and Coors Light at Wal Mart. That makes WalMart - Better.

bingo...

Here's a question for the SWA guys (not involving your tv viewing preferences). Why would HPA instructors be jump-seating with you guys? Anything up or is that just a normal FAA requirement for them?

Ahh... Pilots love to cash union paychecks...AND support corporations who work to destroy them. Nice.

Because there is some hanky panky going on. They lease sim time from us and I guess we're scratching their backs. I think it's a load and would prefer NOT to have them in my cockpit.

Gup

You know what's "nice?" Working for my money and doing what ever the "F" I want to with it. That's "nice."

You only shop at unionized stores?

When Lorenzo was doing his thing, if your family bought a ticket on CAL, what would you think? There are plenty of reasons, union and otherwise to morally reject walmart. My favorite way to vote in america is with my wallet. I take as much pride in being a conscientious spender as I do in being an informed and conscientious voter.

You may disagree with me on some issues, but hope you agree that who we patronize is an important vote in any capitalist system. I encourage you to look into wal-mart's practices and see if you want to support that. There are lots of big stores where you can combine your shopping c************************* and will only have to spend a few bucks more. It's worth it to me. You get to decide for yourself, that's true. But my family knows that when they buy airline tickets- it's not just about price- it's about employee QOL and corporate responsibility. No less than a dozen of them have used up their points on united and fly southwest domestically and a selection of international carriers abroad.

We ought to reward corporate responsibility and punish corporate corruption.
