No matter the outcome, I thinks it's safe to say his professional pilot days are over with reputable company's.

Flight Options is a reputable company?

hawkeracpt, If, in your mind, Flight Options is not a reputable company, why do you continue your employment with Flight Options? Certainly there are other employment opportunities in your area of expertise with a company that meets your definition of reputalbe.

... I agree with your assessment if the sex did actually occur. Regardless of the circumstances, that WOULD make him a scumbag in MY opinion. I have 2 daughters, and if it were one of mine, I'd cut his b*lls off, regardless of the circumstances.....

Better get your machete out. Unless the press fabricated it. The sex happeneded because he claims it was consensual. What was consensual if not sex in the stairwell?

Bottom line for the first time in history I have something to agree with FAcFriend on. He had sex in the stairwell with a minor... I do not care if he thought it was consensual or how old he thought she is. Turns out he was wrong.

16 is the age of consent in Georgia.

Rape and sexual battery are one thing. If it is proven that he has committed those attrocities, then he should be punished.

If she was simply a slut and a single man took advantage of the opportunity, then that is another story.

If that's the case he should be fired for doing it in public and in uniform, but the criminal charges should be dropped.

Actually I do not care what the age of consent is in Georgia.

She said she did not consent and that is good enough for me. Fry him.

Eh but you can't go by me. I am one of those intolerant people who believe sex should be only between a man and a woman, ... who are married... to each other.

Fornication with a minor in a stairwell at a major airport... in a pilot's uniform.

Sick of Liberals blaming the Victim.

He is screwed, from what I heard is that options already took him off of their list of pilots, he is fired from what I was told, and in terms of guilty, if he is, he will have a felony record for life, that will prevent him from ever getting a security badge or passing a background check, he could even end up on the do not fly list, but that would be worse case, but at the least, he will never be able to pass a background check which will prevent him from working for a 135/121 operator, I guess if he gets to keep his license, he can get a 91 job since they don't require those kinds of checks, but I am not sure if a felony for rape will keep you from losing your license?

One of the stipulations for being elligible for an ATP certificate requires the applicant "be of good moral character". That ought to take care of his ATP weather he's guilty or not since he in essence already admited to some sort of "act". We'll see I guess. There's still plenty he could do with just a comm/me though.

I am kinda surprised. If the girl who was 16 (of consensual age) may have entrapped this pilot by lying about her age and leading him into a sexual experience, only to be upset after the fact, maybe no pillow-talk, so she told police she was raped. OR As they deplaned he walked slowly while talking to her. They hit the stairs then bam he snatched her around the corner, tossed the baggage, kept her quiet, avoided sight, ripped off her clothes and nailed her.

So which account could be more accurate? I am not judge and jury.

I want to know what you folks think about "company time." It was brought up that this happened on "company time" so fire him. So my question is, what other actions should warrant getting fired during company time and demonstrate lack of morale character.

Some questionable events on "Company Time"
Ever ordered porn on an overnight? (those receipts are easy to obtain by the company)
Get Laid?
Get drunk?
Gone to a strip club?
and many others....
What do you think?

She says she did not consent.

Fine ... show me the Notarized Consent Form/letter. Sure he kept a copy right? Verbal consent is not acceptable.

Otherwise... Off with his head.

Absolutely absurd. This is what is wrong with the current system. "She says he raped her. That's good enough for me, to hell with evidence! String him up!"
