Thats the impression that I got from him; that they had identified all the people going into the MD class slots. Not sure when my friend talked to HR, but I would think it was in the last couple weeks.

Does this mean HR identified all going into the MD class slots AND notified those folks, or just did the identifications internally and haven't necessarilly called those folks yet?

Do we think these may be the folks who have been asked to reaccomplish their physical and piss tests, but have yet to be called for a class date?

Anyone get a called for a MD class beyond 19 Jun?

It appears the class notifications only go out 2-3 weeks in advance.

They seem to be going in order of interview date for calls for the piss tests. One guy I know interviewed 2 weeks after me and got the call to update the piss test exactly 2 weeks after me. A third friend interviewed 1 week after the first guy I mentioned and was called exactly 1 week after him as well. None of us have backgrounds which would put us in the mix for an MD-11 slot.

That is a twist I was not aware of. I thought everyone in Jan had been called. Could be a comm problem. I'd be calling KD's office to check the phone #'s they had on file if I were a Jan guy.

I'm a mid-Jan interview guy that hasn't been called to update medical or piss-test yet, but then again KD knew I wasn't available until my terminal leave started in early May.

In mid-May, I snail mailed in a copy of my "honorable discharge" letter and also forwarded her contact #s which would be valid at the end of Jun/early July as I move my family back to the mainland.

Am hoping the good news calls well come my way at the end of July or early Aug.

I interviewed in Jan. I was called to update my drug test in May. I know of a couple more people in the same situation. I don't think we qualify for the MD-11. No heavy experience. Just a guess.

I am hoping we get a call soon to start class! :nuts: See you in MEM!

17 started today, probably joining the 2 that started last Friday.

None of those 19 are on the training letter yet (as far as I can tell).

I wonder if the two who started Friday are going to Subic, and as a reward for taking that assignment, got to start a little earlier and gain seniority on the other 17?

I thought about that initially too. However, I think we'll see that they got those extra couple of days because they were Corp guys. I suspect they'll not be going to SFS. Time will tell.

J/S'ing the other night, and the very senior dc10 check airman showed me an email to him that one of two new hires was going to the right seat of the dc10 in mem. Saw it with my own eyes, so it must be true Don't know where the other one was going.

July 10th

KD called today, offered me ANC MD-11 starting July 10th. After getting permission from my wife, I gladly accepted.

Interviewed 5/6 Jan, updated drug test 10 May, currently C-17 Instructor with approx 2200 hours heavy, int'l, glass. KD did not mention how many would be in the class, and I was in so much shock I didn't think to ask.

Is there something heavier than an ERJ in your background? I thought the common wisdom was that you needed at least 737-sized aircraft experience to get the nod for a widebody. I see you have the type rating, but don't list it in your experience. Just trying to get my hopes up that RJ time will do it for me.

Did they ask to bring your passport back when you start? (Mine is about to expire, and I was wondering if I should pay extra money to have the State Dept "rush" a new on to me. Bueller?
