Ok the MEC knows what's in the TA, it's Tue, so why is it taking so long to put out the highlights?
I just hope the briefing didn't go along the lines of "We have to pass it to find out what's in it"
You forgot "--No involutary TDY." If there's a need to temporarily rebalance bases, put a bid out to the line pilots. Don't screw all the reserves with 5 day trips that just aren't called 5 day trips. For a while they were even TDYing multiple ATL guys to DTW and simultaneously TDYing DTW guys to ATL, just for scheduling's convenience. No vote conditions from another thread.
here is what I expect, anything less is a "NO VOTE".
-FULL RESTORATION OF FRAGMENTAION POLICY (because SKYW pilots aren't going to support us.)
-5 hour min day.
-trip/duty rig based on actual or scheduled, whichever is higher.
-1 week vacation year 1, 2 year two, 3 year 5, 4 year 10(like the rest of the US)
-12 days off min every month for all pilots.
-alternate deadhead without approval (we're grown ups)
-eliminate occurrences (we're not hoodlums)
-eliminate duty in (we're grown ups)
-Use of sick bank for PTO
-no call for release on reserve (we're grown ups)
-simple do-fly/don't fly list for reserves
-immediate notification and release or reassignment for cancellations
-evenly split pairing length between 1,2,3 and 4 days
-75 hours min every month, no moving window
-all days off hard
-no floating days off on reserve
-single day off requires additional day off in same month for reserves
-hotel required in domicile when overnight cancellation
-FULL RESTORATION OF FRAGMENTATION POLICY (because ALPA sold us out when they amended it in the TPA)
-specific transparent formula for reserve coverage, not whim of Skd supv.
And of course, No loose language!

Whatevs. Whatever goes to the pilot group... And the mecs will send it to the pilot group. It will pass... Who r we kidding? The only thing a skywest pilot votes no on is a union.
Im thinking express will fall for the whipsaw...
I just wish, for once, the pilot group says, "i triple dog dare you."

The abuse of that one makes it a deal-breaker for me. But I'd give it a 0.0001% chance anyone on the negotiating committee even gave 2 seconds of thought to that one. Overall not optimistic.
I would bet if we vote yes on a concessionary contract the Skyw coat-tailers will get cuts as well. Then they will blame us.
Actually, the SkyWest pilots will probably have theirs all done before yours even goes to a vote. So much for your coat-tail riding theory. If anyone is riding coat-tails, its the unprofitable company leaching off the one with it's sh!t together.
At this point, the negotiating committee does not have a deal they can recommend to the SAPA board but we are working to that end.

The Skywest pilots have in writing that whatever ASA/XJT get in matching funds, healthcare, and scope, they get. That's the definition of riding coat tails. As for profits, that's management's job, not the pilots. Inc is the failure so far in that regard.
Yep. The poor contracts rates are all concentrated at one of SkyWest, Inc's subsidiary airlines. Shocking.![]()
You are talking about the CPAs, right? Skywest Airlines are also required to be the 2nd lowest. Something doesn't add up.
I and my fellow pilots are worth this and more. The company doesn't want to pay accordingly which is why so many are leaving for places that will.
PS. I fully expect Inc to Lorenzo our planes and flying to Skyw, and I expect Skyw pilots will be happy to take it.
Damn right something doesn't add up! Funny how the MEC can listen to threats from management but they can't listen to a earnings report or read the agreements that we have with partners that even in the earning report say there are revenue increases! 6 of 9 need recalled now!
Lesson #2- SKYW pilots for the most part don't want any more RJ flying than you do, remember we had BH long before you even knew who he was. Do what the lions share of us are doing, vote no, then vote with your feet. At this point even Air China is looking good, if they will DH me from the west coast, I am there.
As for the revenue increases, I know that the UAL CPA has a yearly CPI adjustment up to a maximum of 3%. It probably a standard revenue adjustment for these CPAs.
Skywest pilots don't want anymore RJ flying? Will Skywest pilots vote with their feet when the aircraft are transferred? We will never be allowed to strike. If we vote no, this will be our strike since aircraft will be transferred.
Aircraft will be transferred no matter what, but guess we can count on you to vote yes... Have some pride man~
I agree with a NO vote, but we have 28 -900's currently.7/10 of our -900's can be transferred if the TA is ratified. 10/10 will probably go if we shoot it down.
This TA is not worth anything but a "no" vote.
Unless you think three total -900s remaining in our fleet are worth a "yes".
