And I want dayglo tennis balls on it.
Hope I get my IPad by then, or at least a walker.
There's a reason why management is trying to get your contract and new negotiations done here as well right now.
so what are the details or is everyone just speculating
Oh we're mostly speculating but enough has leaked out (union won't buy Depends ya know) that we have an idea. Pretty much cost neutral for the ASA side, and concessions for the XJT side. Lousy 1% cost of living increases while evrything goes up, like gas and health care.
It's easy. You will apply to SkyWest, get hired and whalla your on first year fo pay. Instant cost savings...The company is saying if we don't agree they will transfer flying to SkyWest. Really? So how will SkyWest find enough pilots to take our routes? Even if this is a cost neutral contract, how does approving this benefit the company? The only way this TA will benefit the company is for this to be a pay cut overall. At a minimum, surely this is cost neutral. So why would you lose flying if overall nothing has changed? Smoke and mirrors. I don't buy it.
What is the point of crediting 75 hours if you're bidding Vacation Low? You can credit 65 and get paid 75.
Regardless, this option is G-O-N-E.
The thing that PBS was sold on, is outta here.
I'm gonna read the TA, but this is a show stopper for me. Sorry ALPs, try again you nincompoops. 200 sessions for this wad of joy.
Why are you all so intent on deciding now? Read the damn thing first and then make your vote count!
When we know the details then and only then it will be our opportunity to democratically express a choice. This warmongering attitude of many of our brethren before the fact is senseless and a waste of time.
No pilot in their right senses should accept something which does not satisfy their aspirations of what is expected or desirable in this profession, however it is not fair to the rest of us to go into this with blinders on through to voting.
Once again, read the f#ng thing first.
No vote conditions from another thread.
here is what I expect, anything less is a "NO VOTE".
-FULL RESTORATION OF FRAGMENTAION POLICY (because SKYW pilots aren't going to support us.)
-5 hour min day.
-trip/duty rig based on actual or scheduled, whichever is higher.
-1 week vacation year 1, 2 year two, 3 year 5, 4 year 10(like the rest of the US)
-12 days off min every month for all pilots.
-alternate deadhead without approval (we're grown ups)
-eliminate occurrences (we're not hoodlums)
-eliminate duty in (we're grown ups)
-Use of sick bank for PTO
-no call for release on reserve (we're grown ups)
-simple do-fly/don't fly list for reserves
-immediate notification and release or reassignment for cancellations
-evenly split pairing length between 1,2,3 and 4 days
-75 hours min every month, no moving window
-all days off hard
-no floating days off on reserve
-single day off requires additional day off in same month for reserves
-hotel required in domicile when overnight cancellation
-FULL RESTORATION OF FRAGMENTATION POLICY (because ALPA sold us out when they amended it in the TPA)
-specific transparent formula for reserve coverage, not whim of Skd supv.
And of course, No loose language!

Not happening. Giving up all duty rigs.
-trip/duty rig based on actual or scheduled, whichever is higher.
See above
-1 week vacation year 1, 2 year two, 3 year 5, 4 year 10(like the rest of the US)
Not likely
-12 days off min every month for all pilots.
Who knows if they even addressed this
-alternate deadhead without approval (we're grown ups)
Maybe they throw this in
-eliminate occurrences (we're not hoodlums)
But how will they feel they control us children
-eliminate duty in (we're grown ups)
Probably done
-Use of sick bank for PTO
Never
-no call for release on reserve (we're grown ups)
Probably have to because of LXJT current book
-simple do-fly/don't fly list for reserves
Nope.
-immediate notification and release or reassignment for cancellations
-evenly split pairing length between 1,2,3 and 4 days
LOL (Not because I disagree. Because they will never go for that)
-75 hours min every month, no moving window
-all days off hard
LOL again
-no floating days off on reserve
Probably not
-single day off requires additional day off in same month for reserves
Should be something they could throw in
-hotel required in domicile when overnight cancellation
Not seeing this
-FULL RESTORATION OF FRAGMENTATION POLICY (because ALPA sold us out when they amended it in the TPA)
When Hell freezes
-specific transparent formula for reserve coverage, not whim of Skd supv.
And of course, No loose language!

While I'm with ya here...this is the reality;
Long story short, you and I will be sorely disappointed when we see this. It will be current book, some slight scheduling and reserve improvement of the LASA side and a few bucks tossed in.
