That's what I've been hearing. The two MECs can't agree and that is what's stalling negotiations.
and you can help ASA aviator 777

What can't they agree on? Seniority? Pay? Work Rules? Sceduling?
It's a shame. I just hope it doesn't turn out like US Air around here.
It as be proven over and over again that pilots are their own worst enemy. It utterly rediculous that two pilot groups from the same union can't see common ground.
Yea cuz gojet is cheape operation and a good one too. What's your point? At least it's not buying flying like Skywest inc. which is worse buying or undercutting?
Yup, so much for the ALPA "brotherhood"
Pilots like to blame everyone else for their problems. They blame management, then they blame the consumer, then the government, then gate agent, then ramper, then hotel can driver etc etc. It as be proven over and over again that pilots are their own worst enemy. coopervane;they consider pbs their baby and benefit from it. They don't want to entertain the idea of any other system.[/quote said:bingo!
Line bidding BITES! That said, ExpressJets swapping rules, etc are better than what ASA has. Pref Bidding buries line bidding as a pairing delivery method. That said, the only way to have so much open time left over is to have less guys receiving hard lines (i.e more guys on reserve) That would be a hard sell over on the ASA side.
The way ASA had line bidding, all I can say is Line bidding BITES! However, since I've NEVER used the XJT line bid work rule system, my arguments and opinions of the XJT way are based solely on ignorance and not educating myself. However, since the XJT pairing generator created way more efficient pairings than we've seen as of yet, ASA reserve numbers went up. So basically, BOTH systems can create more pilots on reserve. SO it really doesn't matter
I like looking trip by trip. Don't enjoy a plate full of potluck.
ASA's PBS is anything but potluck, and 1,700 pilots can vouch for that.
Pref bidding could be the greatest thing...XJTers resist change...period. Every change is perceived as worse.
