How long is reserve like out of training? Is it possible to hold a line?

Does Eagle (and regionals for that matter) vary upgrade by base?

Upgrade is by overall company seniority only. Reserve depends from base to base. I held a line after 2 weeks of reserve in SJU. That was 10 months ago. It's probably not quite that quick right now but still probably one of the quickest in the company.

I never said Eagle is going away. I don't believe that. However I do believe upgrades are going to be around 10 years on the jet for the foreseeable future.

Remember, keep your expectation low, then anything better is a pleasent surprise.

Bid award from 12/05 shows a few guys hired from March and April of 1998 getting RJ upggrade....anyone demoted is back in the seat and now the time starts coming down. with the LOU about flowbacks who decline recall being displaceable, i'd say the time will come down pretty quick.

Then it is possible that the current Eagle may not be your cup of tea. I wholly anticipate upgrade to be around 5 years here in around 2 years. But like was said earlier in this topic: working at Eagle is a great idea if you want to have the job stability of a huge company. If you want the 2 year upgrade and are ok with more job instability, then you better look elsewhere.

How do you figure that? Right now it is only 7, do you predict that even after the 3 year hiring freeze is skipped(when upgrade goes from 2001-2004)and the 390 CA's are recalled that the upgrade time is actually going to increase 3 years? How do you know that it is going to increase? Not doubting, just wondering what you know that I dont.

I don't understand all of this upgrade stuff. I thought the idea was to go to a company you could retire at rather than play musical chairs with your career. Just curious about those who left; why? I thought year 2 and on in a jet wasn't bad pay...?

Shouldn't be hard at all. I'm sure they'll take whoever they can to get more staffing in the expensive northeast.
