WOW. The tapes sound kind of scary. Who was the Capt. - the female or male?

The fact alone that you even have to mention that is really low.

Who the hell is Bosley?
My "high"ness is often in question, but in this case I'm relatively coherent. Perhaps you need to read this thread all the way through. I was referring to JB.Guitar rocker said:At UAL? Are you high? You are right about the 3rd strike and your out thing...that applies to everyone else.....but there are some exceptions for SOME ( we'll just leave it at SOME) at UAL. I'm willing to bet that 500 is probably a bit shy of the real figure. And actually, some are probably sitting at home collecting a pay check but are not allowed to fly the line......probably better than a law suit. I have heard that is the case for a few over there as well......

He is a real Richard Cranium that works for AAI. Suffers from the junior birdman syndrome and takes regular shots at UAL due to his inability to secure a job there.
32LT10 said:Anyone notice that Bosley has disappeared after the AAI guy passed away? Could it have been him?

skykid said:Like I said, its a good myth for people who have the need to feel superior - "That other airline has 200 hour pilots hired because they are minorities - we're better, or that's why I didn't get hired." All a bunch of BS.
Ty Webb said:You must not have been around in the late Eighties/ early Nineties. UAL had an "internship" program at my University flight program, and at some other schools, as well. There were plenty of women and minorities and children of UAl pilots hired out of that program with only 450-650tt and no turbine time.
To deny that this was going on is laughable.

32L...I hope that your gone for good. Your respect for others, and especially the Air Tran pilot who passed away, is clearly lacking. I seriously would have thought that an individual with your background (as you say anyway) would be able to maintain composure and have character enough to act as an adult here at FI. I think that you have shown us all that you can do neither and are not worthy of being here at all.
Take your lousy and arrogant attitude back to Denver or ORD and go back under that rock which you crawled out from. Please dont bother coming back here again............
Guitar rocker said:Yah, I know (as we all do) a low time wonder that got hired at UAL through an internship at college who just got her multi....15 hrs worth....no turbine time and the only jet time she had was playing with little model airplanes. Wow, did she ever become cocky and arrogant. So much for being grateful or having some respect for those who got shot down with thousands more hours than she had because she was determined to be more "qualified" for the job. Shame on all those UAL pilots/HR people who were involved in hiring these "qualified" folks.
Hair-on-Fire said:Still bitter you couldn't get hired in the other 99% of people United hired?
Ty Webb said:I know that a number of UAL female furloughees were incensed to learn that they didn't meet the PIC requirements to get hired at some of the airlines that were hiring . . . . "But I was a 757 FO at United!" . . . .
Uh, huh. That and $1.72 will get you a cup of coffee at the LAX Starbucks, babe.
Ty Webb said:In my dreams? uh, no. The last time a UAL female pilot has looked good enough to appear in my dreams was probably around Spring Break 1989
Do you actually doubt that were quite a few female FO's furloughed from United that had been hired there without 500 turbine PIC?
"But I was a 757 pilot for United Airlines!"
Anyone attending a job fair in 2002 could have seen/heard the incensed furloughed females squawking about it.
seahorse said:If you want to make $79/hr max for your whole career and fly with the real senior eastern scabs, then I guess there probably are some career fo's at valujet. I don't know, is that right ty? LOL.
Guitar rocker said:Actually, that 79/hr is probably better than what the guys/GALS are getting at UAL.
Not true, pathetic no doubt but your statement is inaccurate. Narrow body tops out at $90 while 57/67's top out at $104 and $124 for the widebodies. While Airtran stops stone cold at $79.

And as we know, there are plenty of scabs at UAL none the less.
