I would venture to say that 70% of NWA pilots today can hold higher paying equipment that they did the day before this merger. You think that's fair, fine, I do not. A five year fence would've prevented this.

Are you kidding? Listening to a Delta pilot complain about this list is laughable. You guys leap frogged tons of NWA pilots older and more experienced and you are still are not happy? Go cry at home and not on a public forum, my fiddle for you is so small I can't find it to play.

I'm kind of bummed. There are Delta pilots hired a month and a half after me senior to me. I was scheduled to retire at NWA as number 2. Now I am scheduled to retire at Delta number 5. I was supposed to reach the 50 percent point at NWA in 2021. Now I am scheduled to reach it in 2026. Mergers suck. That being said, I still have a job. If I can avoid furlough, life will be good.

Jesus Christ, what a *************************.

We were hired at the same time as folks 2-3 classes ahead of us, had id cards, employee numbers, and class dates. So why should we be treated differently?
Because you are junior......haven't you been around awhile

I think I may hold some sort of dubious record here. My friend who was sitting beside me at the table when we were both handed our "Welcome to Delta" letter simultaneously is now 65 numbers senior to me.

FWIW, I think it was wrong to staple the Delta guys. They are on larger, higher paying, equipment in better bases and will suffer a loss of status quo. The #1 goal of preserving status quo was ignored in this merger, except for the "premium" pilots.

Now we will see how the Company deals with having MOST pilots out of position for what their seniority will hold. Moving bases, or airplanes is going to get very, very, expensive.

Maybe they could entice a few hundred to retire early. That would take some of the pressure off.

Tired of all the complaining and crying about the list. I hope we didn't hire any other speedbird types here at Delta. He is an embarrassment.

I don't think that the Delta guys that got "stapled" to the bottom have anything to complain about. No matter how you slice it, you were at the bottom of the Delta list before the merger and you are at the bottom of the combined list. I am near the bottom myself, but within 1% of my relative seniority before and after.

Long term this merger is a good thing for all of us. Like it or not we are now all on the same team. So join the team or look for employment elsewhere. Whining will do you no good at this point.

True.

If you are a commuter, or don't mind commuting, the merger was probably a good thing.

If you have a paid of house & hangar, friends, family and an established business having to relocate is a deal breaker.

Hazen's right, when you can't stand it, quit. If displaced, that is the choice we'll have to make.

Dude if you are excited about your circumstances or have low expectations for yourself that is your business. I also hope we do not keep hiring losers like you. Guys like you are the main reason our lifestyles as pilots keeps getting eroded.
we all have this job for our own personal reasons. We also keep the job for personal reasons and you are in no position to advise anyone. We are totally different people with unique needs and ambition. From your veiws which most junior Delta guys will disagree. You remind me of a worker bee!!
But the SLI is what it is. We have accepted it and moved on. we can cry about it if we want it is a free world.;)
If you do not like me, eat your heart out! You know I could careless!!

You remind me of a worker bee? Ha Ha. Check the mirror, dude. See the nametag? That's right, you too are a worker bee/unit of labor. That's why there's a seniority list. Skills/Merit/talent counts for nothing with respect to career at this point.

Don't really have an opinion on the "staple" job, but in all honesty from the day the SLI started everyone knew there was no other place for these guys & girls other than at the bottom of the list. That's what both sides had agreed to. It was in print long before the results ever came out.

I'd have to agree... King Speedbird is an absolute embarassment.

"guys like you are the reason our lifestyles keep getting eroded?" WTF is that?

"worker bee"?

You my friend are seriously F'd in the head.

Your probably bad enough to cross the Altantic with, heaven forbid any of the guys on the narrow body side have to fly with you after you get bumped with the attitude you seem to emit.

I truely hope this doesn't happen, but what you don't seem to realize is that even without this merger your position was in jeopardy. That's what happens when you are at the bottom of the list but on a senior piece of equipment.

Have a good weekend junior!

Easy for you to say. You are not in a position where pilots from a different airline, yeah you are not a Delta pilot, comes in and take your spot on your A/C and as a reult probably take a 15% paycut if you want to stay in base. However, if you are one of the guys who are flying a DC9 or A320 and plan on staying on your own equipment/base my aplogies to you.

You do realize that Hazen is an original Delta pilot right? Nice job trying to flame him though for voicing his opinion.
