Its all a matter of perspective. My best corporate job had me sitting on 30 minute call out 24/7 18 days on and 4 days off. It was a complete nightmare. Sure I was home a lot but with no life. I couldn't even go to the grocery store without being afraid of having to leave a full cart when the phone rang. I couldn't go on a nice jog or join a softball team. I couldn't leave a 10 mile perimeter of the airport.
I was just on the phone today with a friend who is a Learjet Captain and he told me that the going top rate at his company was 42K for a Captain and 24K for an FO. He is out over 15 days a month.

I am sure that at one time most of you tried hard to get on with a major airline. You don't have to even deny it because I know you will. Many a corporate hangar is filled with airline rejects. Well get out there and crow. The bus drivers have fallen on hard times. For now at least you can dance for us.

All in good fun.
