Feel fortunate at Expressjet we have dollar for dollar match (100%) up to 5% at year 5 (sliding scale) of employment in addition to a set contribution by the company based on years a service that is automatic regardless of whether you contribute any money (2.5% at year 5).

That isn't entirely correct. Years 1-5 you get 2.5% from the company plus you also get a dollar for dollar match up to 4%. So if you put in at least 4%, you will get 6.5% from the company. At year 6, you get 4% from the company and dollar for dollar match up to 5%. So if you put in 5%, you will get 9% from the company.
