I'm sure what he means is that for every dollar, the company will match with 25 cents. Probably up to 4-6% range as with most companies. Feel fortunate at Expressjet we have dollar for dollar match (100%) up to 5% at year 5 (sliding scale) of employment in addition to a set contribution by the company based on years a service that is automatic regardless of whether you contribute any money (2.5% at year 5).

I sincerely hope you can hold on to that when it is time for those 69 jets to go away.

In the meantime, I hope too that CAL can stay out of bankruptcy.

SkyWest
2nd year RJ FO
95-100 block / month; 110-120 credit / month
2005 $53,115
2% 401k match
$1.60 / hr per diem

$53K for a 2nd year FO. That is pretty good. A lot of hours too.

Out of curiosity. You say 95-100 block/ month and 110-120 credit/ month. Can you explain what that means?

In the real world!

My wife who works for a large US company, non-airline...
She contributes 6% of her pay check to her 401k and the company
matches it 100%. Plus stock options etc...

PSA - Take home a month is about $1400, plus per diem.
I made $650 in per diem in Dec.
TAFB was over 400 hrs. 401k? We have that?

2nd year pay on BAe-146-- $49,800

400 hours FAR block for the year and countless hours spent at home.

The above total is pre-tax with per diem. I was RSV for most of the year.

Block=how much we fly (door closed to door open).

Credit=how much we actually get paid which includes:
min. daily guarantee (3:45),
historic pay value for any given leg (you fly a leg blocked at an hour in :55, we get paid the hour)
premium pay (duty: 1 for 1 after 12 hours),
pay for cancelled legs, etc.
I'm sure there are other work rules that make the block vs. credit, I just can't think of them right now...

ExpressJet
1st year RJ FO (2 months of 2nd year pay)
90-95 block / month; 100ish credit / month
2005 +/-28000 not including per diem

5 % 401k match
$1.60 / hr per diem

PSA
4th year CA ( 3 months as FO/ rest as CA)
90-95 block a month/ 100 - 115 credit
2005 total earnings 78,000
2.5% 401k match
1.35 per diem

Independence Air
Airbus Captain (all capt were same rate)
120.44/hr 75 hr/mo guarantee, avg line about 80 to 85 hrs
one to one 401K match up to 6%
1.70 hr per diem

Oh, that was last month, now it's:

Unemployment Air
Internet troll
$330/week for 26 weeks
no 401K
no per diem
:crying::mad:
