It's obviously not a big deal if the 6 or so instructors I've had never told me about it.
Not a big deal because no one told you. Two CRJ pilots had instructors who never taught them aerodynamics or the importance of ISA temps at altitude. They died. Flew too high at the wrong temperature, stalled, burnt up the engines, and crashed their plane killing themselves. Not a big deal?
