I have flown several celebrities (sorry, no names). Saw Vince Gill and Amy Grant in ASE. Bumped in to Steven Speilberg coming out of the restroom in SLC, you should've seen his Global Express...sweet! Stood behind LeBron James in IAD while waiting to get a cup of coffee.

I have to ask-- when Speilberg was coming out of the restroom, was he holding his Global Express, or was it parked on the ramp?

I've had Hank Aaron on board. Really nice guy. Reclined in the pilot's lounge in BNA beside the drummer from Alabama (separate LA-Z-BOYS).

Saw the "Body by Jake" guy at PDK. He played a great prank on his buddy. The buddy was deathly afraid of flying, so Jake pulled the pilots aside and told them. When his buddy came out of the bathroom, the pilots were asking each other whose turn it was to fly and who had read the instruction book the night before. The guy was white as a ghost.

Also, a couple of college football coaches and a Christian musician on several occasions.

Christian musician's can afford to fly on private jets?? I didn't even think those guys barely made a living?!?! Mind me asking who it was, and what airplane they were flying in?

As an honorable mention, our Chief Pilot likes to tell the story of taking a p1ss next to Elvis Presley in Memphis back in the late 70's. Said he didn't even recognize him until he walked out and all these guys were standing around, and the lady at the counter filled him in who we was.

We vend for fractionals so have flown a lot of celebrities, but here are some memorable stories from personal experience and other stories from the company... one of our FA's went into the ladies restroom right after Drew Barrymore in TEB, Drew didn't wash... flew Nikki Hilton and friends to LAS they were late as all heck and trashed the plane. P Diddy and entourage brought more bags than a football team and RUDE!!! Marth Stewart before she did time... let's just say she should have stock in some make up line and the TV does do her justice! I've seen Harrison Ford at FSI in ICT he was getting lessons in a Citation II? I think. Seems pretty cool has the same demeanor and facial expressions as in his movies.. seems down to earth. Emeril Lagasse .. his catering was finger sandwiches go figure. Kelly Ripa, husb and kids extremely polite and very cordial. Cindy Crawford and her kids, complete opposite of Ripa ...have seen Oprah Winfrey in curlers in PWK (CHI suburb) going out to her own plane.. I'll quit rambling while I'm ahead but thought you guys would get some haha's out of these

I'll never tell! Yea, I re-read my post and realized how that sounded. Yep, it was a sweet Global Express out on the ramp. Guess he didn't want to "drop heat" on-board. His crew must of trained him right!

Last week John Elway and his Playboy Playmate girlfriend/wife (not sure which) came through FIT Aviation in Melbourne, Florida. Evidently in his retired days Mr. Elway has his own furniture line and he was in town promoting it at a local store. Came in in a Citation, walked through the front door, smiled, and walked right out to the plane.

Ya some buddies of mine partied with his pilots awhile ago. he's got a sweeta$$ house on some lake in Colorado with a cigarette boat. His pilots have a cush job... they have full use of his house and toys when in town... fringe bennies.. he's pays his pilots well too!

The local Pilatus Sales Rep brought a prospect into podunk little Leadville a year or so ago, to show off the plane's performance, and the customer came in for the certificate that they give there. The lady working there that day must have been preoccupied and asked what name should she make the certificate out to...

"Harrison Ford" was the reply. THAT got her attention. She said she immediately recognized the voice, but that he looked a little shorter than expected. Quiet, unassuming, just a nice guy.

I guess the sales rep sealed the deal, but Ford has since moved onto another plane or three.

Saw Jessie Jackson at BTR trying to "help" after Katrina. He's got some funny-ass pointy-shoe, pimp hat wearing "security dudes".

Saw Peyton Manning at BTR after Katrina and he actually WAS helping. Dude was unloading tons of supplies off of a CL-604.

Carol Alt at Jet in TEB a couple days ago. Yeah, smoking hot in her 40's, at least. Seen Paulina and Ric Ocasek (Cars) together. She is incredible, he's a freak. Flown one or two big celebs but can't say who currently. Flown a number of people from the business arena who are worth as much as many of the celbs mentioned all put together. Type of people my portfolio manager friends would say "You're f'n kiddin me? You flew so and so??"

Who else? Say Strawberry once. Very tall guy. Jerry Lee Lewis 10 years ago. Cheesy looking at best. Robert Parish- The Chief, if you know basketball, you know him.

Buddy of mie used to fly for Cape Air and also work the front desk sometimes. Was in BOS checking people in on a Friday when Joe Pantoliano(Sopranos, The Matrix among other movies/shows) checked in going to MVY. On Sunday, my friend was flyng that route back to BOS and Pantoliano sat next to him up front, looked at him, recognized him from check in on Friday and said "you know how to fly this thing??"

Hell, I can't even remember half the ones I've seen.

I taxied up to the pumps at Georgetown, Texas a few years ago. Travolta's GII was there, and there was a small crowd of fans waiting for him. His pilots were letting people up the stairs to peak inside. I didn't see the great man, but he taxied out behind me.

A couple of days after Katrina passed through I flew an Angel Flight to Baton Rouge. I was standing in front of Lousiana Aero, waiting my turn for fuel. All of a sudden a motorcade came roaring up the ramp, police cars and police motorcycles with lights flashing in front and back of a black limo and a couple of black SUVs. I thought it was a Cabinet member or maybe the governer.

It was Payton Manning, the football player.

Have flown:

- Martha Stewart: was apparently in a good mood. Gave each of us (pilots) a plum from her bag of fruit; waved goodbye as she was leaving.
- Peyton Manning: the most down-to-earth celebrity I have ever flown. Actually apologized for the amount of baggage and offered to help us load!
- Archie Manning: kind of stand-offish.
- Al Michaels: very down-to-earth and friendly; kind of a white-knuckle flyer.
-Fred Couples: Nice guy.
- Liv Ullman (actress): She and her party actually cleaned the cabin before landing and had everything in garbage bag and spotless.
- Senator Bill Frist: seemed OK.
- Sponge Bob Square Pants: very annoying.Drank all the water.
- Jessica Alba: wouldn't keep her hands off me. Had to wave the fire extinguisher and tell her repeatedly that I was married (No, not really. Just daydreaming).

Have seen: Emeril Legasse + John Mellencamp @ Jet Aviation TEB , some dude who's in a lot of movies-but-noone-knows-his-name type in LAS; Leelee Sobieski (hot actress) in Mercury SBA.

Just missed seeing: Robert DeNiro, while I was taking a dump in Toronto.
Robert Redford: while I retrieved something from the plane in LEX.
William Shatner: while I was fantasizing about Jessica Alba, in Avitat HPN.

I've never flown the guy, but have talked to a couple of guys who have. According to anecdotal evidence, he might just be the biggest a**hole who ever chartered an airplane!

Since I have been flying 135, I haven't flown anybody famous. But for years prior I worked for an airline and an FBO, and met quite a few. The one that sticks out of the many is:

Craig Stadler (golfer) - It was my day off and I went into work to pick up my paycheck. He had just landed in a XA- Learjet and was waiting for his Citation Shares CJ. I was standing next to him at the counter while he was asking the girls if there was a burger/brew joint around. Well, needless to say I offered him a ride to a sports bar just down the street. He accepted and when we got to the bar, he insisted I join him for a few drinks. We were sitting at a table near the bar and what a weird feeling. Everyone in the place was pointing, whispering, etc. that a celebrity was in "their" hangout. He bought me dinner, a few beers, and then asked if I wanted a set of clubs! True class act!

Another quick one was: Drew Barrymore....What a sweetheart

Flew Mr. Rogers (of children's TV shows) from ACK - BOS. Really nice, didn't say much.

Stood next to Harrison Ford at the counter at Supermarine in SMO while he yelled at the kids for bring out the wrong plane - apparently he has several. Not cool.
