So long as you little b@stards continue to pile loads of cash into his pockets...."He Loves YOU!" Man I hope that you guys WAKE UP!!

No..it's called the "Stockholm Syndrome".

I was listening to a SkyWest, Inc. conference call where it was stated that they did not bid on the Continental flying due to the short 2 year duration. They thought the risks for taking on the flying outweighed the benefits. Nowhere in the call did they mention anything about ASA.
I clearly remember this.

Although this broadcast is not readily available, it is archived and could be found. However, plenty of ASA pilots, as well as Skywest pilots, interested in their Company's financial position, probably listened to this broadcast. Apparently, the SAPA President is not enlightened to his Company's direction, or he has selective memory!

I'm fairly certain that ASA ALPA has the conference call on tape.

So ASA supposedly loses the LAX flying because of union fears? But wait , who gets the flying? Expressjet, an ALPA carrier who cost more(source- Expressjet MEC member)than ASA would have. Don't buy the lies folks. Some Lame-O's in SAPA are running scared(rightfully so.).

The LAX was a temp from the begining by DAL.

Since DAL had filed BK, and LAX Airport was one of the creditors, LAX was putting pressure for DAL to "use them or loose them" on the gates at LAX. With this ASA was the only airline at that time to move quickly to fill the need. BL and JA knew this. That was why there was very little movement to set up a crew lounge and offices there.

At the time ExpressJet had just started pulling aircraft from CAL colors and was not in the position to start up the operation.

Also, Skywest was unable to do this flying because, at the time, they were under a UAL agreement that would not allow it.

Skywest SAPA President came out with an email today saying vote no to a union because it hinders an airline from getting additional flying. He says that ASA was suppose to get 35 plus airplanes to fly for Continental but the contract talks and threat of a strike caused them to go elsewhere. Seems like more scare tactics.

Remember, BOTH sides have their scare tactics! (ya, alpo too) Look at the BIG picture. Having a union is getting what you want, job and pension-income protection, when things are BAD! When they are good things are easy. Did the majors get what they wanted? Go talk to some of them....!

They negotiated quite a bit better with representation than what they would have been given without it.
