I agree with rat. This is a pretty big day, not much other BS to talk about on flightinfo after this ... save JoeMerchant's penis size.

As for the sports talk, it doesn't belong here. So pack up the Trojan talk (I'm a Magnum guy myself, personally) and let's talk TA turkey.

I heard from a reliable source at the "Sofa King" store that they included a clause in the TA for a "Christmas Turkey for "Any Pilot" including "Reserve Pilot" that have been on duty for more than 170 days in the preceding year"

or as follow:

Seniority:
0-5 years: Turkey of 5 lb
6-10 years: Turkey of 12 lb
10-20 years: Turkey of 20 lb
20+ years: 50 lb of Ground turkey

My problem is that to many people here are dripping for the bonus money. NOT SEEING THE BIG PICTURE. We lived with out it for 5 years, slow down, an look around.

Ask... Neal "BluDevAv8r" ExpressJet has

1. Profit Sharing (with min pay req or increase pay rates)
2. Long and Short Call
3. Aggressive reserve pickup (reserve can pick up open time)
4. No trip rigs but same min day 3.75
5. Trip trading… Light-years ahead of most other airlines
6. Great res and line holder rules… better then CAL
7. Leg by Leg pay… I.E. 1st leg +45 over’s …2nd leg -30 min early… you are still+ 45mins for day of over’s.
4day trip worth 20hrs… Day one 1hr over’s and day 2 45mins over’s… and day 3 and 4 cancel you get paid 20hrs plus your overs on day 1&2= 21:45

I can go on…. But your pay still sucks and work rules except your rigs suck too….

And Express got Retro at Comair payrates (before paycut) for all hours flown... For 2001 hires .. about $10000-$14000 + based on hours paid

Raise the BAR

You haven't even seen the TA and yet you are already an expert at it? Guess what, we have items 1-7 (actually #7 we had in our 1998 contract... which probably enabled you to get it in your 2004 one). Also our min day and duty rigs apply to reserves, and the rigs are on a daily basis so they will pay out (unlike the Comair ones that rarely come into play).

Trust me, our CNC saw what was wrong with our peer airlines' contracts and fixed it. The pay rates may or may not meet people's expectations, but the contract as a whole is industry leading. I'd expect nothing less!

To pick a nit... as I understand it, this provision is gone in the new Section 13. It's on a trip basis... no longer leg for leg.

Loser

the correct spelling gets censored, you stupid ******************************bag

Find something better to do with your time than continually insult and agitate ASA people. You are truly a fool!

I hope you come around the lounge the next time you are in ATL and personally share some of the things with us that you have elucidated us with here.

-Come on by, ya hear?

P.S.-you sure are asking for a lot of bad ju-ju.

hey, all I ever did was say I didn't support ALPA at SkyWest. then ya'll piled on!

like what?

been there. was treated professionally and with courtesy. must have been your day off.

congrats on your TA, by the way.

Congrats on your TA.

NOW STOP DISCUSSING IT ON A PUBLIC FORUM.

This should be rule number two (following rule # one about how to jumpseat) when you are first hired.

You do not have a contract yet, you merely have a TA. If you vote this down and want a better counter offer you might want to speak privately about what would make you happy next time around. This could be a great opportunity to further EMPOWER your negotiating comm. at the table.

STFU about your TA. If you just wait you will be able to brag about your new CONTRACT once its signed. Trust me, the rest of the industry is going to be listening.

I do not work for ASA or any other divisions of DAL.

'Bout damn time somebody said it. STFU until the deal is signed, ASA pilots!!!

why does everyone assume that ASA will get the 90's once this is signed after Delta has already committed 90's to three other delta connection carriers to be flown out of ATL (Skywest, Comair, and Pinnacle) Has anyone seen something in writing from BL or SH or JA saying ASA will recieve any of those 90's?

Anyone know how long the roadshow/voting process takes?

3 weeks? 3 months?

When do I see my .90 raise and my $1200 bonus?

ASA pilots work at the worst airline in terms of on time performance, completion factor and lost bags. The Delta pax that you carry hate riding on your dirty little aircraft. They know they will be late, if they go at all, and then they worry that they will never see their checked bags again.

Congrats on your new TA, it will not prevent Delta from selling you off little by little.

ASA has already been sold by Delta to Skywest...:smash:

Seeing as how you fly the 140, those are mighty big words coming from a Chautauqua or Eagle FO...

Ooh...thanks cartoon lover! You know all that will happen in the Regional Airline Industry, huh? My crystal ball is broken, so thanks for the warning. I am going to put my house up for sale now since you seem to know I won't have a job soon! Thanks...

Here is a little tip for you....move out of Mommy's basement and get a girlfriend!

Ps...ASA's new TA, in it's current form burys whatever pathetic contract whichever company you work for has...both in pay and work rules! Glad you don't work here.

Then shut your mouth and compalin to Delta. Delta works the bags, makes the schedules and provides the gate space in Atlanta.

If you are a pilot, maybe you could appreciate the fight ASA pilots put up, and the mountain of crap we have endured for years, as we at least fought to improve our lot and raise the bar at least a bit in a time where we face unprecedented and immense whipsaw from both Delta and Skywest.....but maybe not.

Ps. ASA is nowhere near the worst in terms of completion factor.

ASA has a cancellation percentage of 4.4 second only to Com Air at 5.4%. So you are near the top. In fact you are as close to the top as you can get.

Delta took over your baggage handling because your company was handling the baggage so poorly it helped win it the country's worst airline award.

Maybe you should stop posting on this website and preflight you aircraft so you can run on time today.

You can't even beat MASA and the run out of O'Hare for United, who suck. And they do it for less money, which they need to save to pay for lawyers to defend their executives who erase incriminating files off their computers along with all their porn.

If there's anything I can't stand, it's an ignorant moron. Yes, ASA is horrible in its service. No doubt about it. Nobody has chipped in for awhile to help, but guess what idiot? ASA, if not #1, it's right behind Southwest in being the MOST PROFITABLE AIRLINE IN THE US. Despite our LOUSY service record. Why is that you think? Maybe ATL airport has pretty much around the clock ops? When is the last time you see anybody chop down a money tree? We ARE LOUSY in service, but GREAT in profitability. It's always been that way. Since you're 13 and on your mommy's boyfriends computer, you probably wouldn't know that. So at least you know now. Good luck with that knowledge. I bet you can impress all your little friends now.

Hey Batman, news flash: WE DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU OR ANY OTHER DISGRUNTLED PASSENGER THINKS.

We don't care because ASA treats us so badly that we only have interest in putting out the minimum effort to collect our paycheck. You'll say if you hate your job quit or go elsewhere. Mostly everyone I know is pursuing both options.

If you don't like our service, vote with your feet to another airline or complain to Delta. I couldn't care less. We pilots do not control the product, Delta does. ASA is only a subcontractor. Want things to improve? They need to treat us with respect. This contract may be a step in the right direction, we'll see.

As for getting on a pilot message board and lecturing us that our airline sucks... we agree. Now piss off.

.

Wrong again. The month before Delta pilfered ASA's operation and took over ramp and bags, ASA was in single digits and 9th overall in baggage. One could say Delta ruined what ASA had going as far as improving the overall operation. THey have themselves to blame. As far as Mesa, they do not even qualify for DOT reporting, so don't even try to compare them, since there is nothing to compare!
