How would 13.5 million "traditionally" be devided up?

Based on years of service during the renegotiations and the seat(s) you've held during that time mabye? They will have to give the seniors guys a larger share. Guess the MEC will have to work that one out.

Well the 13.5 mil is retro, not as much as we had hoped for, but if it was devided evenly among the pilot group, which it won't be, that would be about 7900 a piece.

I figured he would be the one of the first ones(or CFIT) to chime in with something negative or apathetic to the fact that we've been fighting for 5 years to get this done. Trying to get a new working agreement that will at least be a positive move for our group, as well as other pilots at other airlines.

You didn't let me down tool. Thanks

You mean "JoeMerchant" wasn't on your list????

You know he's gonna have ALOT of negative issues, especially since neither he nor his thing had anything to do with this.

I left him out because I think that now that this crap may all be over...hopefully, I would imagine he won't have much to b!tch about anymore.

I guess he could say that we should have gotten 28 million instead of 13.5 and it should have taken 4 weeks instead of 5 years. I'm sure the company would have done that if we just weren't ALPA......

It looks like our performance has finally opened the eyes of management.

I'm curious to see how much of ASA's poor performance was a product of the pilots flying the contract. Will you guys be able elevate your status from being the worst performing airline?

After May 1, we at Alaska started flying the contract. "No favors, no waivers." I don't think management even notices. It's hard to make it look like unhappy pilots are dragging down the operation when so many other things contribute to this Fed up op.

And I almost forgot. Congrats on the TA. I'm glad to see that you negotiated with management and are getting at least some sort of retro for working past the contract amendable date. COLA is nice to have too. Does SkyWest have that?

Wohoo, a .90 cent raise as a 2nd year FO on the 50-seater.

Or an .81 cent raise as a 10-year Captain on the 70-seater.

5 years for this!!!!

It'll be interesting to see if the pilot group votes in favor. And if so, how the MEC will divvy up the 13.5 mil. 13.5 / 1,700 pilots= ~7,900. But we all know it won't be that even. I'd say the majority of guys will take home about 5K. (That's a whopping $1,000/year or 83 bucks/month for the half decade of negotiations)

Wait for the ALPA roadshows and then you have your vote.
I have an overwhelming feeling it will pass by 88%

Everything is not payrates. Remember we now have duty rigs. Those 32 hour overnights will now actually pay more than $50.

Great job to ALPA....I know we don't have a voted on contract yet, I would love to see the ontime jump.

so someone who has an inkling... how long till we see a vote and if it goes well, how long till this thing is solidified?

I think it's funny, and quite sad, that the Unionazis here want to belittle and rip on me and others just because we don't want to join your club.

I've said it before, and I'll repeat it for you-I like where I work. I'm very happy here. I wish everyone else here the same. I sincerely hope you feel good about where you work and take pride in the company you work for. I do.

I don't give two squirts of piss if you got what you did via ALPA, the Girl Scouts, or the International Brotherhood of Toaster Repairmen (the Fightin' IBTRs!). I hope that you get all you can, and are happy with it. Many haven't been, and have come here to find it. I hope you find it where you are.

Congratulations on your TA. Though I wanted nothing to do with our company buying you, and still wish we never had, I have no reason to want things to go anything but well for you all.

there, happy? c'mon now, don't disappoint!

And ASA pilots didn't want anything to do with SkyWest purchasing ASA. We were set to grow out of SLC under Delta's umbrella. Things don't always work out the way pilots plan it, oh well. That's life. We've fought very hard as a group, never gave up at ASA. I'm very proud of that. This can only HELP YOU Skynation. You're welcome. Come join the fight. By the way, even if the Duty Rig works out to be the same as Skywest, it's a LEGALLY BINDING agreement.

Nice job folks. Anyone know how long is the process for a vote. Will this be finalized by X-Mass.
A high-five to all you who stood strong.

I'm not an ASA pilot, but that TA looks extremely weak to me. It doesn't even come close to what Comair had in 2001 and money is now 20% less valuable than it was then.

Remember, we are entering a period of a severe pilot shortage (read leverage), especiallly at the regional level. Do you really want to lock yourselves into this POS? ASA mgmt will be dancing a jig while other pilot groups leap over you, again leaving ASA pilots at the bottom.

Duty rigs are good, but pay close attention to the language. Are they calculated daily or monthly? Big difference.

Oh, and about the signing bonus. I encourage you to run a quick calculation of what the last five years of stagnation and stalling have cost you in career earnings. You will find that, invested over a career, you are looking at well over a million per pilot. 13.5M may sound like a lot, but look at what the company saved by delaying this long. It's in the billions.

Either way, I have no dog in the fight. Good luck guys. I know how torturous the last five years have been.
