right, but why does it HAVE to suck? why not make reserve bearable? Just because it sucked for you back then why does it have to now? there are many things they could do-for instance using reserves for their intended purpose so we didn't work every single day and get that 4am wakeup call every day and get extended into 5 and 6 day trips because of hidden open time

So are you saying the company violates the contract OR are they working to the letter of the contract?

Who is the FO rep? They only awarded 274 lines for July for ATL CRJ FO and there were 294 published.

"Just to let everyone know - particularly the ATL CRJ FO’s and the ATL CR7 FO’s - just before the July line bid closed yesterday we were instructed to withhold from the initial line award the ATL CRJ and CR7 FO lines that were awarded to line check CA’s. By the questions I am receiving this morning I can tell no messsage has been sent to the pilot group yet, so I just wanted to let you know why those FO lines were not awarded. Listed below are the line numbers that were withheld from the FO line awards and not awarded.

CR7 FO lines withheld and not awarded: 14, 31, 54, 65, 69, 74, 123 and 141

ATL CRJ FO lines withheld and not awarded: 3, 5, 45, 47, 48, 96, 112, 143, 158, 159, 177, 189, 205, 209, 214, 225, 234, 239, 269, 283"

UH correction miss scheduling lady, they were awarded to Training Pilots NOT Line Check Pilots. We fly as CA on the equipment we bid.

Can Atlantic Southeast release anything that they don't have rescind and have a do over???????????????????

Line Awards uh oh do over!

Bid Awards uh oh do over!

Domicile opening or closing uh oh do over!

COME ON DOES ANYONE CHECK ANYTHING BEFORE IT GETS RELEASED!!!!!!!

I'm saying the contract language is so loose that they can pretty much bend the contract to do whatever they want to do.

Incorrect. Those lines were awarded to the LCPs. The FO line was left empty to leave a space to be filled with FOs coming from training.

The way it works is they run the captain lines first, and withhold the lines awarded to the LCPs from the FO bid. Those lines are then used for IOE/SOE training.

This wasn't a do-over. They didn't allow FOs to bid for those LCP lines due to increased training need in July (furlough recalls, etc.)

So the company is operating by the contract. Then tell your reps to fix it during the next Section 6.

I am beginning to wonder whether anything ever really gets "fixed" in any contract... We just keep fighting the same battles-and losing ground.

So you are saying this contract is no better than the first ASA contract? Are you simply ignorant or are you stupid? Do you even know the difference in the contracts?

Da reedin' ain't beez so gooooood..........................

Where's Crash when ya need him?

must not have been here during the good ole days huh..

what happened to the TMT lines, didnt they list them in the bid package each month during the "hiring" phase a few years ago???? same purpose allowing IOE I thought.

crj567 is an idiot....he just needs to quit and make us all happy....

Maybe I'll quit and go become the next CEO of the RJDC!

-Sky's the limit!

(I'll bet I would get to wear a cool "Brand Scope" wife-beater to work every day!)

-Sweet!

Are you too stupid to understand the importance of brand scope, or what???? Do you know the implications of this, and it's fundamental "fix" of the ENTIRE airline industry. Or are you just flinging poo because of who was involved in the RJDC?

Joe crj567 occasionally makes some good points as well as you. This is a discussion forum is it not? Me and others are getting tired of your whining about others whining who have a different opinion than yourself, so quit already! (had to throw that in there JM;))

Funny!

I LIKE slinging poo! Joe is just the ASA version of Gen Lee. I really get sick of his patronizing garbage... Joe is all about Joe.

"Brand Scope" is really a great idea-seriously. So is a national seniority list, so too is the idea of free ice cream machines in every cockpit. None of these things have ever stood a chance of ever happening-not now, not ever, ever, or even ever.....

We should pick our battles wisely. The RJDC was stupid, not only because it pitted mainline pilots against regional guys, but also because it pitted regional guys against our own union. That was dumb-it would have been much better to try and make some strong alliances with mainline pilots to bring everyone's expectations higher-not attempt to jack our common union around. Pitting RJ folks against non-RJ folks simply fed the fire.....

-As things stand, the RJDC is and was a joke-it was a horrible idea-and Joe quit the union over it..... (Isn't that right?) I just like to punch his buttons like he loves to try and punch mine!
-Cheers!

About 2 years under far worse scheduling rules and a ruthless head of scheduling....Erion....Most of you wouldn't have lasted under those conditions. You do realize that back then, being on call was considered "rest" don't you?

Simply put, the rules for reserves are far better than they have ever been. The company is far more reasonable than they have ever been. The schedulers are far nicer than they were in the past. In addition, stagnation isn't something new...It has happened before. This is the third downturn I have seen.

See what I mean.....

"Back in the old days." And "uphill both ways in the snow." And "we didn't have toilet paper, so we used tiny sheets of medium-density particle board to wipe," and such-and-so.....

-Joe is all about Joe.

LOL. I laugh when people say this as a way to demean the senior guys. Some of those guys have a net worth of 1 million plus. I don't know what you're trying to make fun of but it's certainly not their pocketbook.

Nope. Not their pocketbook. Or bank account. Do you carry a pocketbook?
