As a freight dawg:

Met a guy in the FBO at CLE, he was one of the Cleveland Indians who had just gotten traded to another team that day and was flying out to play in a game the next day. I can't remember his name, but I do remember that he was all over the news the next day for getting into a fight during the game.

You meet Bruce Dickinson!!! Did he ask for more cowbell??

I flew a charter for Jesse Jackson back when he was running for president in 1988. I never spoke to him, but his posse pretty much ripped all the catering off the KingAir. Cans of pop, all the grapes from the fruit basket, 16 hour old sweet rolls. It was like watching wolves at a kill.

I got to talk to Pat Simmons (guitar dude from the Doobie Brothers) on the hotel van from the Hilton in LAX to the airport a couple of years ago. Was able to tell him I saw them at least five times when I was in high school, and how much Michael McDonald f@#$ed them up. He laughed, sort of agreed, but commented on how much money they made during those years.

My best brush with (sort of) greatness was meeting Bob Eubanks from the Newlywed Game. He was going to his wife's high school reunion in Nebraska (relucantly) and due to a ridiculous maintenance delay in LGA on my airplane, he got to blow it off - he thanked me as he got off the airplane. I, however, was mortified that a freaking fueling miscalculation turned into a two and a half hour delay thanks to Delta contract maintenance.
