One thing I always think is cool is when your the pilot flying around notable and famous people. Over the years I have had some amazing encounters and had the opportunity to meet people like Barbara Bush, Mohomid Ali, Ben Aflak, N'Sync, Gene Simmons, Leann Rimes (she offered me concert tickets) and most recently last week, the whole cast of Grey's Anatomy.

Anyone else have any really cool stories about some charters or famous meetings? I ususally keep a copy of the passenger manifest for my scrap book, but have yet to get anything else except a hand shake, ie. autograph or picture. It is tempting to ask but not professional. Just curious who else may have had some cool experiences. I suppose being LAX based helps my chances with famous sightings.

Cheers.

Saw Jerry Springer at LUK the other day...I felt compelled to throw a chair, but some big bald dude in a black polo shirt tackled me first. Nobody talks smack about my baby's mama!

I almost ran over Jerry Sinefeld in a King Air while he was riding a motorcycle! I had landed in SMO and as I turned off the rwy, this idiot shoots out from between the hangars on a motorcycle! We both slam on the brakes, come to screeching halts, and stare at each other. Just about the time I think I recognize him, he drives off.

Later on in the FBO, I mention this to the girl at the desk and she says, "yeah, that was him, it happens all the time"...

I saw a greasy looking Ron Jeremy (I reckon thats standard?) in a ratty t-shirt and sweatpants in the E concourse at CLT a about a month ago...he got off the 'handicapped' golf cart and waddled over to use a payphone. Guess its all well before my time, because the only reason I recognized him was because of those crap shows on VH1 these days...

Had Juan Williams (of Fox News, NPR and author fame) from CAE to DCA one day. The CA & I were both big fans and told him as much.

I flew the guy in your avatar from BOS-LGB about a year and a half ago. He's a pretty cool dude.

hung out with Ray Thomas of the moody blues at LAX.

I saw him in SLC last year. The best was standing back and watching who else recognized him. It was great when some hot chick would point and giggle. (You dirty girls...you know who you are)

Also saw this guy. http://www.bananageorge.com/

Not exactly high up on the fame scale but I've flown:

Doug Buellin - Judge Wapner's side kick from the 80's tv show People's Court.

AVLCLT

Jocelyn Elders - Surgeon General (liked to talk about masturbation) during the first Clinton Aministration...

LITDFW

I've also seen Johnny Cochran KJAX, David Hasselhoff KJAX, Newt Gingrich and Congressman Henry Hyde KRSW.

Just had Rachael Ray (30 min. meal chick) on my Lax flt. last night. Didn't even know she was on my plane until we were parked at the gate and I just came back in the jetway from the post flight, she was waiting for her friend to deplane, I saw her and thought "wow, she looks like that cooking girl", we looked at each other for a moment, didn't say anything to each other and I thought "nay, that ain't her" turned out it was, my first flt attendant said "yep, that was her". She's cute, but man she's got that ghetto booty going.

Over the past few years I've had LL Cool J Phx-JFK, real cool guy, after the 5 hr. flt. he was still nice enough to wait around and sign autograghs and pose for pics. Cindy Lauper (is that how it's spelled?) red eye LAS-EWR. had Mario Lopez and that Doritos girl when they were still together from LFT-IAH, She stuck her head in the flt. deck and said "hi". Holly cow she's beautifull, very polite too (she's from the south). Her punk a$$ man at the time wasen't (he's from Cali of course) the flt. attendant said when she did her drinks she was very nice, all smiles. He didn't even look up, he just brushed her off with a wave. All that "happy-go-lucky attitude he has on tv is a crock! after the flt. he was waiting in the jetway for his checked baggage just leaning back on the wall with his dark sunglasses on, black leather jacket and cap trying to look tuff, I just went out the jetway door next to him thinking "yeah ok A.C. Slater, whatever".

I've had Carrot Top from LBB to IAH. I've also flown Max Weinberg (of Late Night with Conan O'Brien and E Street Band fame) in 1A from EWR to ROC...super nice guy.

Johny Cochrane, Henry Rollins. Sat next to the guy that I think won the best comic standing. I believe he has MS. I didn't know until a friend of mine pointed him out, and I was like, I sat next to him on the commute.
