printed contracts mean nothing. ours states...

III. Employment Opportunities at AA for AMR Eagle, Inc. Pilots
A. At least one (1) out of every two (2) new hire positions per new hire class
at AA will be offered to CJ Captains who are line pilots and who have
completed their IOE at AMR Eagle, Inc. Such positions will be offered to
the CJ Captains who are line pilots in order of their AMR Eagle, Inc.
seniority.

we all know how that was followed, it was more like 1 in 30.

It clearly states new hire positions per new hire class. A furloughee-recall class is NOT a "new hire class." Your contract refers to when AA starts hiring again, not recalling.

And what is really great is that out of IOE I should be able to hold a line within two months at the most, the most junior man in ORD now is holding a composite line. IMO this place is top notch!

Guys hired one month before me in 2004 held a Composite line within 3 months, I wasn't able to get one until Month 25... my point, should is a danger word to use in this business. As for the junior composite line holders... I doubt they will be able to hold them next month. Especially after those senior to them have taken a beating for Oct. For their sake, I hope I am wrong.
