I heard we had about 4 guys that timed out in mid Dec. 1000 hr. Thats a lot of VSA!!!!! Sad life! or no life I should say.
 
Two calls this month for junior manning so far, and it's what, the 8th? I'll be happy to help out, just as soon as MB is getting a paycheck again.

And to the whore who will undoubtedly pick it up...choke on it.
 
FO to MIA tonight is a VSA and dispatch amended flight to ANC at .80mach to prevent reserve FO from going 30 in 7.
 
I'm flying with a Captain who accepted 2 VSA assignments in the last week. It's like he's proud to admit it. I can't believe this SH**. His excuse is he's building a new home and needs the extra money to cover the costs !

Dirty little secret.....You work with probably the most egotistical, self-centered pilot group in the business at one of the greediest, most employee unfriendly airlines in the business....better name would be "wag-the-dog" airlines run by the "spin doctors"......By the time you were hired, the cover was mostly off and you still picked the place.

retain his seniority accrued to the time of furlough, but will not
continue to accrue seniority during such furlough; provided
that a pilot returning to active service shall retain the same
relative seniority position that he held on the date he was
furloughed by the Company due to reduction in force and for
such purpose shall be deemed to accrue seniority from the
date of the Company's offer to return to active service.

 
Four (yes, count 'em: 4) canceled flights today due to lack of pilot crew. The DSO report from 2100 yesterday and 0500 today shows "Low or no pilot reserves."

What are they going to do on Super Bowl weekend?

Seniority is not longevity.

True, but as far as the company is concerned, your accrual stops when you leave, and resumes when you return.

I've been here over 4 years, and still only get 10 days of VAC next year because I spent 7 months out.

Also, my anniversary (for pay purposes) was moved 7 months.
