Dirty little secret.....You work with probably the most egotistical, self-centered pilot group in the business at one of the greediest, most employee unfriendly airlines in the business....better name would be "wag-the-dog" airlines run by the "spin doctors"......By the time you were hired, the cover was mostly off and you still picked the place.I'm flying with a Captain who accepted 2 VSA assignments in the last week. It's like he's proud to admit it. I can't believe this SH**. His excuse is he's building a new home and needs the extra money to cover the costs !
23.G
2. Seniority: A pilot reinstated within the prescribed limits shall
retain his seniority accrued to the time of furlough, but will not
continue to accrue seniority during such furlough; provided
that a pilot returning to active service shall retain the same
relative seniority position that he held on the date he was
furloughed by the Company due to reduction in force and for
such purpose shall be deemed to accrue seniority from the
date of the Company's offer to return to active service.
Seniority is not longevity.
