Its simple really. Very rarely do different pilot groups agree with the other's side. That's why there is arbitration. We can agree to disagree and have a panel of neutral arbitrators decide what is fair and equitable. Hopefully we will be able to accept that list when it is all said and done and move on. I know I will.....No matter what the list looks like if decided by a neutral panel of arbitrators.

As will I. If I am on the street and this thing goes down a dark road. That was one hell of a ballzy move.

This development can only mean BETTER seniority for the AT pilots. A staple won't happen, and Redflyer may end up in the bottom 300. Then he and I will have similar relative seniority at our respective airlines, until we continue huge retirements and they unfortunately stagnate. At least we'll be about the same for a few months! The bottom RULES Redflyer! Godspeed!

OYS

It could mean a bye-bye too.....good luck with that!

And if something happens to them, the webmaster will be releasing your IP to the FBI. Just ask one of our pilots when he commented on something here that AirTran considered a credable theat and via FBI investigation got the guy's name.

I think most of us on the AT hope for a negotiated deal. The SWA side should to. You can dream up what you want the arbitrators to take from this or look at recent arbritration rulings as a more accurate guide.

I reiterate.... even the yes votes here at AT are serverly disappointed with this deal. I would not wish this level of disappointment on the SWA guys. I think you will get to this level of disappointment from an arbitrator.

You should be praying for a negotiated SLI because the arbitrator will rule the opposite of this deal for the SWA pilots.

Look at the recent arbitrations. Don't make up stuff in your heads based on emotion.

Are you surprised? You tried to staple 60% of us into the lower 25 percential of your group. The fenses don't work if SWA downsizes. I understand this deal but it was based on zero growth. It is so far away from what you guys were worried about and we all know it all over the industry.

This is a great result. The SWA guys tried to railroad the Frontier pilots and the Air Tran pilots are smarter for it. If it goes to it, arbitration should be better than the current offer. Good job!

It's time to start sharing more of the LUV......................

JT12345,

This is said with all due respect JT so please don't take offense.

There will be no more negotiations, end of story. Only arbitration.

I respectfully recommend any thought process that leaves open any further "negotiations" between ALPA/SWAPA/SWA as a possibility only sets expectations for something that is not possible.

Arbitration. I don't fear it and certainly your MEC doesn't either since that is the path they have chosen. Your membership may look back and say this was a great move on the part of the MEC or they may wish for the original proposal at some point down the road. That ship has sailed.

As for the outcome from that arbitration, that will begin a brand new chapter and one that is not clear on the final outcome for your pilots. The SWA pilots will remain as SWA pilots, the same can not be said with 100% certainty for AAI pilots. If your leadership has convinced you and others of something else, then I will simply say that is unfortunate.

Passage of the AIP would've given you that 100% certainty even if viewed as a less than desired. Everyone I've spoken to on the SWA side feel it was far less than desired also FYI.

I wish you and your family all the best. Fly safe,

Respectfully,

Agreed, at least the ALPA MEC will know how it feels when someone else besides them decides our careers. Gawd help them if it goes bad, maybe Casey Anthony can rent them a room?
