No and no, and it is bigger than your 'little profile thingee' and the barbie jets. gt1900 doesn't seem like he has the experience to teach at Trannie. I am sure they are looking little profile thingee pilots, so good luck. Yeh, that's it.I spent a couple of minutes trying to determine what point you were attempting to make other than just to insult some anonymous internet poster. Still don't get it. Are you one of the scabs and retired management a$$ kissers in the FL training department? I have personal experience with those bozos (there are still a few good guys, but not many), which one are you? A good flush is exactly what is needed over there (which, if AP hadn't caved prior to the 2007 furloughs is exactly what would have happened), unfortunately gt1900 sounds like he's auditioning for one of their jobs.
I can only speculate as to the size of YOUR brain, since the little profile thingee next to my post lists BBJ and G4 Captain as current position. I'll let you draw your own conclusion as to what "airline" I work for.

It must be that you're misspelling your forum name and it's supposed to Adriatic Pilot, because English doesn't appear to be your first language. I have absolutely no idea what point you're trying to get across. Really.
Let's see if I can get this thread back on track.
Based on responses in this thread and several others relating to AirTran in the recent past, Ty Webb was attempting to rub $hit in gt1900's face over his apparent gung-ho, complete-the-mission-at-all-cost attitude. gt1900 got up in Ty's grill about how he must be an enormous pu$$y since he's concerned about normal airline ops into a 4800ft runway that frequently sees rain and strong cross/tailwinds. I reached the limit of my silent tolerance and called him out on one of his goofy responses. After several back-and-forth's involving an escalating level of animosity, gt1900 called Ty an idiot and Ty called gt1900 a nutless wonder. BoilerUP commented that this thread had gone "full retard", a humorous reference to the movie Tropic Thunder, which amused me to the point that I responded with the Robert Downey jr line about never going full retard.
Following a typically droll and inflammatory post by instructordude, several cluelessly serious responses to his obvious trolling and a crack by Ty about his lack of judgment, I commented that gt1900's intentions for a future at AirTran could lie in the notably miserable, scab-ridden AirTran training department.
You, for some reason, took offense at the nature of our discourse and made an unintelligible jibe at the size of my brain and my place of employment. If your ultimate intention is to comment effectively on threads-in-progress, you are going to have to respond in a manner that allows others in the aviation community to have some freaking idea what you mean. If, however, you have the goal of becoming a tournament-level FI troll like instructordude, Tanker Clown, or the legendary jimborealgoodpilot you need to try harder. Search posts by Frank Lorenzo. He's the best. You have a long way to go.
Anyhoo. To contribute, I think AirTran's entry to the EYW market is good, but the pilot group and ALPA Safety need to keep an eye on the operation and possibly recommend that it be a special airport. Not to say that FO's shouldn't be able to land there, but there should be some kind of special emphasis during recurrent training on the unique demands of the airport.

Very well said!, but you brought up an interesting point more important than short runways and two pilots throwing doodoo at each other like a couple of rhesus monkeys; that is, where is jimborealgoodpilot?!?!?
I've been waiting for a rookie to be mystified by the word 'adiabatic' and let it zing above her head. You win! Let me know when you've caught up with the English language. Adriatic-LOL!It must be that you're misspelling your forum name and it's supposed to Adriatic Pilot, because English doesn't appear to be your first language. Nah, just fly. One of the higher ups in the training dept over at Trannie is the best F-4 flight lead I ever saw, so I don't put much credence in the other guy's words about their training. Sounds like he probably has a hard time passing checkrides and blames them.Adiabatic, I get it, it means you don't do any work?
You two boys gotta be dating each other! Now, it is summed up! Nicely done...and watch those germs. And THAT, ladies and germs, pretty much sums it up. Nicely done . . . .
AirTran Airways Announces New Service to Key West, Fla.
- Airline Will Bring Full-Sized Jets and Low Fares to Vacation Paradise -
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI - News), today announced plans to begin service to Key West, Fla., beginning on December 17, 2009. The airline will provide the only full-sized, commercial jet access to the island by using its Boeing 737-700s to fly nonstop from Orlando while offering same plane service from Atlanta.

This announcement marks the first time a major, low-cost carrier will provide scheduled service to the southernmost point in the United States.
"Key West is one of the destinations that is most requested by customers in our hometown of Orlando and across our network, " said Kevin Healy, senior vice president, marketing and planning for AirTran Airways. "We are thrilled to add the Conch Republic to the AirTran network."
Passengers from around AirTran Airways' network will be able to easily connect to Key West via the non-stop flight from Orlando or via direct, same plane service from Atlanta.
"Offering our passengers the ability to change planes only once from almost any point in our network to Key West is a real benefit," said Healy.
AirTran Airways offers more destinations from Orlando than any other airline, including other recently announced flights to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Nassau, Bahamas.
Unfortunately, they will probably have a hull loss within 2 years

You are going to hit the mountain, exactly on airspeed...trying to make sense all the way to the crashsite.I don't think njcapt was mystified by "adiabatic" he was just making a joke.
If you are using it to mean that you don't do any work then you are in fact using your own screen name incorrectly.
An adiabatic process is a process in which no heat is transferred, not one in which no work is done. It makes no sense to me to use it as a screen name. WTF would that mean. You are a pilot who doesn't transfer heat to your surroundings? If you are trying to be witty, you have apparently outwitted yourself.
Sounds like a recipe for bad karma coming your way making a statement like that.
If you were in the Force, you know the type that just do an incredible job, no matter what he is given...and in a low key manner-all while flying the crap outta the jet. My ole bud was one of main players who brought on the 717. He was instrumental in setting up the 737 training program at Tranny. All that and a great sense of humor to go with his work ethic. So, yeh, those kind of skills transfer well to the airline world.Being an F-4 flight lead prepares one for working in an airline training dept? Please expound, with no heat transfer, if you will.
"El-tee"-silence is golden. Had a chat with an ole friend. If your name is not Savage, kill that baby. If your were not a Colonel, kill that baby. And if you've never been Mach 2, kill the Hustler shot. Show us what you are made of, not just the monniker thing.Adiabatic, I get it, it means you don't do any work?

Heard some stories from my bud about a guy named Dr. Savage at Tranny-this guy won't ever buy a drink from me-the Trannies on here, feel free to speak up-you may know better than me, and...silence speaks volumes.
And the other 2 things, I've kind of done, but kind of don't usually mention it-all, adiabatically. And I spend hours, days, weeks...nanoseconds making our profession safer, one pilot at a time...or lots of them at once. Whatever it takes. Fair enough? See ya lil flyin bud! Fly Safe!
...and Mach 2 is kinda fun...but I don't have to tell you...
