HVD gets it, let's move on, remember whose idea this was (initials GK)...
I understand the angst about seniority loss, but your MEC should have taken the first deal...it would have passed both sides....
Tri,
You can't even keep your pants on for this thread, that is about as much proof needed to do what they did on our forum. Geez...move on. Stand behind your post my a$$. More like looking for a fight cause there isn't anything else to do but piss on someone's leg. Go get a hobby or take up Yoga or anything except your pissing and moaning here and over there.
Dicko, it's time to get rid of the unicorn![]()

Maybe you're right Tex. But ..... Since we're already talking metaphors - The current 'thorn in our sides' is the 15% - 20 cut AirTran pilots have received from their current pay. It reminds us everyday that being bought means a pay cut for 3 years. That's a long time.
Our lines have been slashed to around 70 hours with little or no ability to make up the time. Everybody is making a guarantee of between 75 and 78 hours.
Imagine what would happen if SWAPA pilots were told they'd be making guarantee for the next 3 years ?
On a serious note, do you think they might pickup with the additional intl flying coming and intra Texas flying?
I would rather not see SWAPA spend negotiating capital on making the 737 type go away as that would have no benefit to any pilot already at SWA or AirTran.Rather than seeing parking and uniform costs addressed in section 6, I would like to see the 737 type requirement go away.
I don't think so.
If I were you I'd be more worried about being in contract negotiations while there's an entire low cost/B Scale airline doing your flying for you. There may be a lot of fingers pointed toward Atlanta, coming to a negotiating room near you.
You worked for a regional airline , just like me.

Really? What were you smoking when you wrote that? Our 2nd year FO's make Reg Capt pay. Compare the work rules and pay rates from either of our last 2 contracts. Half the pilots we have on our list left regional Capt jobs (not me) to become AT FO's...wonder why that is? If you say we were not SWA, or that our management sucked and was not labor friendly then I'd agree with both. I hope a random drug test is in your future...just sayin.
