what is wrong with what he said?
Trying to figure that one out myself. All I can see is a resentment about being associated with someone else on the subject of First Amendment rights.

BTW, moderators don't track down members to ask about complaints. It's the other way around. If a moderator contacts you it's because you did something wrong.

Actually, there is no 'Heat' for me to get out of-

I was on here looking to see if anyone else posted anything about this Eagle FO>
Having spoken to a few friends in the FDNY, they couldn't believe a person would claim membership to their brotherhood. And then brag about it on the web and to a reporter.

Low and behold, AWACoff compares TM to me because of a thread in the 'Major' board.
He doesn't agree with my right to free speech, or why I feel I'm entitled to my opinion. Guess he took insult to the fact that I am actually in the Air National Guard. And am on Active Duty currently. Besides actually flying for a Legacy carrier.

Insecure, nope. Not really. That's why I use my nickname that everyone at the airlines I've been associated with know me by.

And moderators, PM sent.

Always

I can't help but laugh. Definite insecurity to the Maxotch! It must suck on occasion to wake up and realize people bid around you.

I've known Motch for a while. Insecure isn't anywhere NEAR in the ballpark for the correct term.

He, like myself, has a very high ethical and moral code and even the insinuation that we would be anything like this A.E. F/O would be personally offensive.

Is it Libel? No, because inferring a character flaw isn't an outright accusation. Is it a ridiculous comparison? Ayuh, you betcha. This whole thread has become ridiculous though, so I can't say as I'm surprised. You'd think we'd have better things to do with our time, gentlemen...

Actually he was implying, not inferring.

Each one, so superior, that it requires it's one sentence.
Nick name everyone knows you by? But the second you turn your back they all call you another nick name.
You such a man, the second someone makes a joke, you run and tell. Did the mods give you a tissue?

Sounds to me like you're the one with insecurity. You should embrace the personal insults and threats you get on this board, it's pure entertainment.

So where is Rez and PCL with their Nauseating pro ALPA diatribe defending the idiots that out this to press?

Why would they to that?

Air Line Pilot magazine clearly screwed the pooch on this one. In their rush to bolster the name of regional ALPA pilots after the Colgan mess they ended up putting us in an even deeper hole. This is not only embarrassing for ALPA but for every airline pilot in the profession.

Are you suggesting that Prater said; regional pilots are kind of sucking lately, we need an article about how professional they really are???

No. Why would you think that? Prater's not God. He's just the rep elected by the Executive Council to put a face on ALPA at Congress and the industry. Do you have a thing about Prater?

Because their nearly sickening and continual defense of ALPA on various boards.

Nice...let me try to help:

Many people are so spooked by apostrophes that a word like “they’re” seems to them as if it might mean almost anything. In fact, it’s always a contraction of “they are.” If you’ve written “they’re,” ask yourself whether you can substitute “they are.” If not, you’ve made a mistake. “Their” is a possessive pronoun like “her” or “our” “They eat their hotdogs with sauerkraut.”

Everything else is “there.” “There goes the ball, out of the park! See it? Right there! There aren’t very many home runs like that.” “Thier” is a common misspelling, but you can avoid it by remembering that “they” and “their” begin with the same three letters. Another hint: “there” has “here” buried inside it to remind you it refers to place, while “their” has “heir” buried in it to remind you that it has to do with possession.

LOL..ok I am owned on that. Proof reading English was never my strong suit and it still kills me in law school.

I really wound not admit to that...plus remind me not to hire you as a poor proof reading lawyer, wouldn't want anything to slip by you.

I can't wait for ALPA to interview me......going to tell them about a time when I flew a UFO to Jupiter.

I gotta raise the B.S.flag on this one....UFO's to Jupiter!????
I've flown UFO's and they do NOT handle the thin air around Jupiter at all, Venus is really as far as you can safely operate them and even then it's a little shaky going through the meteor field to get there.

Talk to some buds at AEA and as of last week they said he had been transported to DFW positive space for a "come to Jesus" meeting with mgmnt. I have not heard the result...

In addition to the wonderful piece of ALPA journalism the interview board will have in front of them, I wonder if they downloaded all those nice little tidbits from facebook, myspace, et. al. ?

OH, and make sure you bring us the log book that was in effect at the time you applied. We might want to have a wee peek at it.....

He probably just thought he was giving an interview to somone from FI.....

I personally do everything in my power not to let people know I work in the airline industry. It's embarrassing when they do find out.

Then quit. Nothing like voting with your actions. Why do you keep a job that you hate so much?

I'll never understand why so many of you whine and moan, but don't do anything to change your situations in life.

Wound? perhaps that was a Freudian slip? Your proof reading motivation on FI is about the same as mine.

With things that are important, like school, nothing gets by me. Maybe you could take crack at Georgetown law and see how it pans out for you? Enjoy your career here on FI and I'll enjoy mine.

Wow, as a non native english speaker, what am I missing? I thought this was the correct use of the word "their".

It can't be "there nearly si....", and it can't be "they're nearly si....". So what was wrong with the sentence?

Honest question if perhaps dumb, thanks

You are correct, nothing to be confused about.

Because switching to a regular 9-5 job would suck even more.
