Legacy pilots outsourced the RJs that are prevalent at the regional level. Regional pilots today are NOT to be be blamed for this current environment, an environment that legacy pilots (especially Delta) created in the the early 90s. In the interest of protecting larger flying and scales, RJs were out sourced.Taken from another message board.

The Delta pilots set the scope limit at 50 seats and below with the Saab 2000 in mind but before the CRJ was hatched.

The way it should work is that when a major furloughs, the major furloughee can choose to flow back to his regional's code share partner and take a Captains seat at the top of the list, since the regional probably caused his furlough in the first place.

Honestly, you all suck.
You guys are still flying for broke carriers and hauling broke people. Your customer service is zero. Your pay and benefits are laughable at best. Good product you put out. I'm talking about the very worst regional and the very best mainline.
