I've had numerous opportunities over the past 3 yearsr to observe republics pilots at work up close. In every instance they measured up to my expectations of a commuter airline pilot.
Repubic would have furloughed hundreds of fledglings by now if wasn't for Frontiers mainline clientele. Don't take for granted what they've created.
Just because someone bluffed their way into a commuter job, major airlines will pick it up in the background check....thankfully.
I recently witnessed 4-5 RAH pilots in a confab creaming their tenders over their new seniority 'rights'. I would've joined in, but am still working on my 'six-shooter, double-finger snap "Gotcha!" move for the ladies.
I have begun to wear my sunglasses in the terminal so I fit in a little...

I'd like to give my 2 cents worth with regards to the "seat grabbing" accusation. That's what the union demanded, not what the RAH pilots are collectively stating. These guys seem like a good group as far as commuter pilots go. They've consistently been polite and realistic in my encounters...
I've known Sue for 13 years, she is an awesome woman who always has a smile and hug for her coworkers.
I think this show did a very good job of portraying the dedication and professionalism of Frontier employees.
