Everything lowly said is correct about SWA. I was an FA there also. He and I worked together many times. I took a good pay cut also to go corp. SWA is a good place to be.
I used to spend alot of time in TIX. Talked to one of the guys I used to fly with and he said they were having the airshow this weekend. However, the show was being delayed bc wx. Very sad, God's speed.
Don't know where you got personal issues out of that one. Professional Pilots do not pay an "airline" to sit in the seat. They are paid by said airline. Looks like there are some bottom feeder "airlines" where you can go make 17k/yr and pay off that massive loan you have to pull the gear and...
You mean after you got hammered in your post about Girl Scout cookies you still don't get it? When I see myself, I can say I worked my tail off to be where I am. I will fly my 300 hrs this year, bring in my 6 figures and know that I never had to pay to play Pro Pilot Wannabe! And, BTW On...
No, I think you can blame it on PFT jerks who will pay even more money to go fly in a big King Air with things hanging off it! Oh, I forgot, they get to put on uniforms and act like they are pilots. Purchase Pilot Wings!
Just wondering, how much did you guys have to borrow to have payments like that? I did most my training in 1992, and I spent about 20k. I did my CFII, Multi, and MEI through flight schools where I worked and spent about $1500. I guess times have changed.
When you got to Higher Power, you will meet a lady named Judy Tarver.
Is Judy the lady who used to work at HQ and then went to inflight? If so, I know her. Actually flew one of my last FA trips with her. Do you have a contact for her? Thanks 265.
Wow, I havn't looked at this thread in awhile, I was surprised it was still around. I can't believe it has turned into such a "pissing contest".
As some have said, I was able to renew with the "personal Knowledge" box at one time. I think the new 8710-1 does not have that any more. I will...
I'll add a bit more on this. Called the local FSDO, in Houston, they said they only do CFI renewals on the first Friday of every month. It seems they are way understaffed. I will need to call a DE, and pay a fee, to get renewed. Maybe I'll have to do the on-line deal like you did Tanker.
I...
Thanks Check6, It was a tough check ride, I don't want to do it again. All you have to do these days to renew is a course on the net. It is time consuming, but, not that bad.
I did American Flyers course last time. I started with them this time and just could not stand sitting in front...
Ya know BLing, I was there at one time too. Enjoy the time you CFI. The guys, or girls, that you work with will be friends and contacts for life. Do I miss instructing? some times. I enjoyed having a student who may have never flown in their life, and take them through to getting a PPL...
