There's probably more hiring going on out there than you think, although most of the jobs are probably with companies and in places you've never heard of.

Can't speak much about the STN situation, but when I was there it was very difficult to break guarantee. They would typically work me right up to it, then I'd find myself sitting somwhere for days on end. Very financially challenging (for me personally, anyway).
IMHO...there are much better...
That's great that they acknowledge there's a problem and say they're working with management toward a solution...but they've been saying that exact line for years.

Is it possible for crewmembers' families to travel on freighters? I met a classic captain in Hong Kong who was on layover with his son...it didn't occur to me until later to ask if the son had traveled over on UPS. Thanks!
