Your MEC met in CVG with the Delta MEC Chairman, Captain Will Buergey, at his request, to discuss preferential hiring of furloughed Delta pilots at Comair. Through this letter, I hope to...
I'll take "Dumba$$ed blanket statements" for $500, Alex. One post... ONE.. and you use it to take a shot at an entire pilot group. BOB at NWA happened for a good reason, and it wasn't about a bad TA. You'd be hard pressed to find a whole lot of fNWA guys advocating any such thing right now.
You guys are so cute arguing about who gets to fly what toy airplane to which corner of the sandbox. Is there a sign up sheet or waiting list, because I'm pretty sure my 6 year old would like to get in on the action.
It means that all of you not on Page 1 of your respective seniority lists need to shut up and row so Joe's big fish in a small pond world isn't disrupted. If you think anything the man says isn't about 100% self interest then you are sorely mistaken.
I agree that it's a very difficult commute. I did it for a few years. With Delta the issue is that seat availability fluctuates tremendously. If there's weather going on in another hub, count on people being rerouted through Atlanta. Being hub to hub means tons of misconnects/reroutes...
If the delay resulted in a change to the posted departure time then I believe the new cutoff is 15 prior to that. Example: 4:30 flight. You get the seat at 4:15 and board. Then there's a mechanical and they change the departure to 5:15. DL guy can still bump you up until 5:00
