Those Crazy Sweedish Dash Drivers! (gear collapse)

I have never flown the Q400, but have about 1000hrs in the 300, 200, 100. I have flown with guys that have 20,000 hours in the Dash, and STILL can not grease it on. It is a VERY stiff legged machine, and unless you have a wet runway or snow, you are gonna feel it. Assuming the systems are...

Sky West pilots response to mgt

So what happens when the same thing happens without a union contract? You have ZERO protection from the company. All they will have to do is issue a FOM revision, and your pay is slashed in half, you lose all your work rules, and there is NOTHING you can do about it. If you have a CBA, the...

    Regional to get an ATP

Jeez, with OVER 1500 hours, you are obviously wasting your time thinking about the regionals. With those high times, you should just try and get a "Job" at a major, and I am sure you can "easily" get hired, especially with a few HUNDRED multi.

    ASA Maintenance Strikes Back

I read this as in lift or "pop" the spoilerons/spoilers to check to see if the grounding straps are still intact. Also, how is checking the strap in the nose gear sabotage? He is right, it does have a tendency to be broken.

If things remain status quo, it is 3 years right now. 3 years from now that could be different. There is no way to know at any regional what your exact upgrade time will be. Upgrade is system wide seniority based, and generally people take the first upgrade available. Meaning that if a PHL...

1 month in PHL, a little longer in DCA, and A LOT longer in ORF. 3 years-ish. PHL or DCA, most likely PHL initially. If PHL you wont sit a day while on RSV, DCA maybe sit a day or two with out doing anything, ORF you wont fly much.

    gojet imports?

And how much is your "override" to fly the 700 and 900? 1%? 3%? Sounds like a "SAPA" sell out. And that $10 an hour that the PDT guys get to fly the 50 is MORE of an override than your CA's make flyin the 700 and 900.

    Northwest Bidding for Midwest

Don't count out "Eastshore Aviation" (Air Wisconsin holdings company) out either. They just happen to be sitting on an extra 500 million made off of the US Air deal.

I heard the funniest thing on Guard today (Chicago)

Was it an Air Tran guy talking about the turbulence, and the plane swap for the thru flight to LAS? It was the longest PA I think I have ever heard. If so I heard the whole thing, and the ensuing 15 minutes of comments. We laughed all the way to landing!

    Air Wisconsin

You bid for upgrade day one of class. You will put your "wish list", and at the top will be PHL CA, DCA CA, ORF CA. As long as you have those slots ontop of your current slot, and your seniority will allow it, you are awarded CA. Clear as mud? Oh and you wont be "rotting" while "waiting" for...

Question for the Air Wisky guys/gals

Our training dept. is very user friendly. The problem is that people are having is with attitude. People are showing up to class wearing shorts and flip-flops, not caring, thinking it will all be handed to them. You have to study, and work hard. People are failing INDOC for starters. Read...

I got the Senn 25's. I stopped putting batteries in them in the CRJ, the passive canceling works great. They are REAL hard on batteries.
