Does COEX care about the kind of multi time you have?

I just told a bunch of college kids who are just starting out that there has NEVER been a better time to be doing what they're doing. Think I'm nuts? When I got out of college in 1994, nobody was hiring....my flight instructors had 1500tt and couldn't get spit on by Great Lakes - they're at...

Does COEX care about the kind of multi time you have?

...to succeed at XJT depends on your ability to apply yourself....nothing more. To all flight instructors who know what hard work is all about - come on down. If you bought all your time, had daddy buy you a C-310, or think you were born with a better pot to p*ss in than everyone else, GOOD LUCK.

    XJT sim ride?

Beech, I find this nearly impossible to believe, but if it happened, I am appalled by this action....clearly not professional. I think I speak for the majority of XJT pilots in saying that we have nothing against Commutair guys - it was our company that decided not to fly turboprops anymore...

    XJT sim ride?

What exactly do you mean by this? Sounds like YOU'RE the tool. If picketing in uniform according to ALPA's direction has gone out of style, maybe you should call ALPA and let them know.

    First Year Pay

I'm in year 3 at ExpressJet and barely make this much....geez I wish I had gone to Comair!!!!

    Age 63????

...pay, but utilization. I'm a relatively senior FO currently and they get a lot less out of me now than when I was junior and was scheduling's b*tch. With my 15 days off and 75 hr lines, I'm making as much as I did as a new hire on reserve cause they used me a lot more.....same holds true...

    Age 63????

...would want to keep top end guys making 12-yr CA pay, working 12 days a month, when it can train new guys to make 1-yr CA pay and make them their b*tch on reserve with 11 days off. Seems to me the company gets a lot more for their $$$ by getting rid of the top end guys and bringing up the...

    Age 63????

Ok, let's shine the light on this one - we have a Republican controlled Congress (i.e. pro business) and a Republican White House. Even IF Kerry wins in November, chances are we will still have a Republican Congress. So, assuming this to be the case, with the airlines sinking further everyday...

    Age 63????

ALPA can reverse it's opinion all day long....it's the FAA that still has to approve the change. It took 7 years to rewrite Part 61, about 5 years to come up with Subpart K (rules for fractionals), and they are currently rewriting FAR Part 135. Even if ALPA comes out in full, 100% support of...

Hard work doesn't pay in Avation, unless you're a U.N.D. Grad!

Right on, 80. You've got the RIGHT attitude. Did you know that if your household total income is more than $60K/yr that puts you in the TOP 10% of ALL Americans? I think more pilots need to keep this in mind. So you'll only make $80/hr flying an RJ for your career, boo hoo. At least you'll...

Where's COEX??? Mike, WTF man?! Where's COEX?? You know and I know we are hiring like nuts....what gives? Is the COEX HR team secretly supported by Kit Darby or something ;) Get on it, man. I'm telling all my buddies to stick with Darby - his website says there will be thousands of...

    expressjet negotiations?

Wow - if anyone can answer this, they should go buy lottery tickets! :) Seriously, though, we are in negotiations and when they'll be done and what pay we'll get is anyone's guess. We had been pushing for Comair pay, plus 100% retro, along with significant improvements in trip/duty rigs, but...

Hard work doesn't pay in Avation, unless you're a U.N.D. Grad!

I appreciate the challenges you've overcome - however, it seems to me like you were getting into this without understanding the path(s) to success. Most people I know, including me, understood from day one that it would be very difficult to get a decent flying job with a regional and we...

    T-Bird Aviation at DPA

Gouge on T-Bird All, I'm a pilot for T-Bird Aviation at DPA, and here's the gouge for your review: 1. The company is hiring in small numbers. Currently flying 8 aircraft with about 20 pilots. Expansion plans have mentioned several new aircraft in 2003. 2. We have 5 furloughed airline...
