I went from CFI to corp. I had 1700tt and 100multi. I started PT then went FT after about 1.5 yrs. As was said earlier, it is about who you know. Get out and meet as many people as you can.
The biggest jump for you will be systems. The speed of the new ac will seem intimidating at first...
I took the family from IAH-DIA to RNO last summer for a wedding in Lake Tahoe on UAL. On the stop in DIA, the wife went up to the Capt and asked if the boys could look around. They were 4 and 2 yrs old at the time. The UAL Capt was OUTSTANDING! He allowed the boys to sit in the left seat and...
Tony, I used to work at a KTM/Husky dealer in LBB, Tx. I read cycle News all the time when I was there. Great Mag for motorcycling.
I would like to get an '05 250 or 450 SX. However, I currently work in a 91 Corp dept and we are flying like mad these days and it would be unfair to the other...
I get all the usual. If you fly professionally, you can get Business & Commerical Avaition and Pro pilot for FREE. I also get Dirt Rider and MotoCross Action.
Tony, is that a Husky in you avatar?
They are in Titusville, Fl. I believe they fly when there is a launch at the Space Center. you might want to call Space Coast Jet Center and see if they can give you a number. Good Luck.....265
Sounds like you are working like I was when I was trying to move up in the world. Keep at it, you'll get there.
Ya know I was very fortunate to find the job I got. If there is a 91 flt dept around where you are, start knocking on their door and don't stop till they hire you! It worked for...
Hey lowlycfi, I did mine at All ATPS. You do a one day prep on the computer then do the written the next day. They give you some sheets to study for the Q's about 727 performance, W&B and flight planning.
You still at SWA? I've flown on them a few times in the last few weeks after taking...
Sorry, I can't help ya with something built in 1995. I think Rockwell built the last Sabre in 1981-82. It's too bad the ole' 65's we have do a pretty good job for the money. Good luck......
Never heard of a 504. Rockwell actually had a design for a Sabre 90 at one time. It would have been a "super mid-size" back in the 80's. It was scrapped bc Rockwell decided to focus on their space and automotive programs.
There was actually a Sabre 50 that was built. It was a test bed...
SWA offers everything luv2fly said. I was an FA there for 5 yrs. It was agood place to work with outstanding people.
And NO, I was not one who was "light in the loafers." Married with two boys!
Try Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, OK. Went there in the yearly '90's. The aircarft were very inexpensive and the instructon was top notch.
That is of course if you can stand to live in Altus! Some of the Mil guys know what I'm talking about. Good luck.
If you can spend the cash, go to FCI in Mesa, Az. Our flt dept went last month to their Unusual Attitude Training. It was the best stick and rudder training I've had.
The instructors are excellent, the planes are in good shape and they know their stuff. Great training!
Don't know about the ADD problem. I do know about the Acid Reflux.
About two yrs ago I had some bad stomach probs. The Doc did an upper GI and found damage to my esophagus. There were 4 areas that were tested for cancer. Thank God they were negative. I was put on Nexium for a year. I go...
I am at a good 91 flight dept. We do have duty times and regs that are modeled after 121 ops. See if the co's you are intrested in have anything like this.
A good flight dept is all about the people. If the company has a high turn over, turn around and leave.
A last note. Getting into...
