Oh yeah, if you go into EWR, don't automatically switch to ground when clearing the runway. They don't like that..... :)
And the "just keep moving" policy (like at ORD) does not apply at EWR. Especially when combined with the above radio techniques..... :)
If there are reserves available, yes, you can drop a trip and it is immediately assigned to a reserve. SkedPlus will tell you if there are "minimum reserves" available and will deny the drop if reserve pilots get down to X amount...
It's really nothing different than we had already, it's just a...
What makes you say this? What makes you think it will be any more difficult to drop a trip next month than it was a week ago? For what it's worth, I haven't been able to drop a trip in sked plus since it came out...
I appreciate all your input so far, and I think you are making a difference...
Here's what the current poll is on the SAPA forum:
The poll asks "did you vote?" (not sure if people are taking that as "WHAT did you vote,") but here's the results to date:
78 votes yes
63 votes no
SkyWest opens on the 10th and closes the 17th. Awards are posted anywhere from the next morning (18th) or until the 20th... I'm not quite sure why it varies so much from month to month or why PBS can't spit it out almost automatically....

I'm voting alright - it just might take several days of deep thought, laying out the issues item by item and whoever has the most checks in their favor in the end will win my vote... I used to be pretty opposed to ALPA, but SAPA has been pi$$ing me off pretty routinely lately....
Haven't got mine yet and I'm still undecided. When I get it, I'm hanging on to it until the last day. Still trying to see who's koolaid tastes better....
His point was that ASA was in drawn out negotiations and nearing a strike, which scared off the new flying...
I like the part about how he said they wanted to give ASA new hires a raise to $23/hr so people would want to come work there. Great. And they gave the first year FO's at skyw a 23...
I think they must actually be TRYING to get a union on property. 10 months ago, they stiff the bro guys on a payraise and insult the rest of the pilot group with 1%, and now come up with a TA that across the board puts ASA pilots above SkyWest in pay plus COLA....
If someone can get me to...
