    jetBlue March 8th/9th Interview Session

So, with all of the previous 13 pages of info, I just want to get all this right... If you are in the next interview class, and are offered a job, one of the following will occur: 1. a. Accept EMB-190 and go into 'Shallow' pool for a few months (August?) b. Be locked in the EMB-190 for...

    Will JetBlue ever fly trans-oceanic?

If jetblue does go international, I would think it would be to Brazil and the rest of South America first. David Neeleman grew up in Brazil, went back there as a missionary in school, and is on the board of dirctors for Gol Airlines, an all-737 brazil domestic fleet (ala Southwest). Brazilians...

    Typical Jetblue Month?

OK guys. Enough. I only wanted to know what a typical jetBlue month was like. 3-on, 4-off? 7-on, 7-off? Or something in between. And after 4 pages of drivel, still no answer. Remember, opinions are like butt holes...Everyone's got one. The trick is to not show it in public. Once...

    Typical Jetblue Month?

I always try to help out the F/A by cleaning the back after the flight. How else am I going to find the cool stuff all the pax leave behind... Like USA Today and magazines. Heck, I haven't bought a pen in over 2 years!:pimp:

    Typical Jetblue Month?

Greetings, I have a few Questions about Jetblue. Can anyone help? 1. How long to get Ft. Lauderdale or Long Beach Domiciles? 2. Assuming Airbus FO (2-year Equipment lock) can today's newhire get into the left seat of the EMB as soon as the equipment lock is over? How long for Airbus...

    SWA rejection letter

Back on the subject, if one did get a rejection letter and has to wait 1 year, then when does that "1 year" expire? EX, Interviewed 24 feb 05, on application, it asks if you ever interviewed at SWA before? If yes, then it has a drop-down menu that allows you to enter month and year only. So...

    Airtran Interview Prep

I am hoping for an interview at Airtran. I really want this job and dont want to blow it. I know I should be myself, calm and relaxed, but I will take any advice I can get. I am looking for a professional agency that specializes in Airtran pilot interviews. Can anyone point me in the right...

    Airtran Questions

Thanks for the info. Also, I noticed that Airtran is at a guarantee of 70 hours per month. 1. Is that something you hope to change in the next contract? (75 or 80 guarantee) 2.Aside from that, how many hours per month is a usual line? Is it easy to pick up extra flying on your days off...

    Airtran Questions

Greetings, I am doing research on Airtran. Could anyone in the know please answer the following: 1. What is the status of the contract negotiations? What are the highlights that the pilots are pushing for? (What pay for 5-yr CA? 15-yr CA?, total days off per month, etc.) 2. Any rumors to...

    Financial question

Since we are on the subject... What does 401(k) actually mean? I know there is a 401(a) (post-tax), but is there a 401(b), 401(c), etc... Also, correct me if I am wrong, but the actual money that comes from your 401(k) or your Roth IRA go essentially to the same place. i.e. I could invest x%...

    Cathay!

the $90k US includes everything including per-diem and retirement, if you choose to invest yourself. Good friend works there. B744, ORD, until base closes.

    Cathay!

HK dollars are pegged to US dollars at 7.8 to 1. First year FO on the freighter line (with basing in the US) will make about $90k including per-diem and all the extra goodies. Takes long time to get interview and usually 1 year from first interview to start. Interview itself is gruelling...

1 NW pilot who doesn't feel the pain

With all the pilot pay cutbacks and furloughs (in the thousands), Wouldn't you think that the ALPA funds would be dropping? How does DW keep his high salary? Next thing out of ALPA National... "Due to the tremendous loss of pilots and, for those lucky enough to remain, making Regional...

    Continental

Some enterprising Continental Pilot should put his 'friendship' for sale on Ebay. Highest bidder gets his/her friendship and, therefore, recommendation for employment. "...and the highest bidder, and new Continental F/O is..." moychendizing. It's all about moychendizing "I see your...

    Continental

Hello Continental...?? I am a gay minority female with a handicap and three letters of recommendation, but only 250 total time and just got my commercial rating (after 3 tries...). Will you hire me please?? Continental: U HIRED!!! Why does this sound familiar? Oh yea, UNITED!!
  19. Pilottodd2

    Continental

I 100% agree that the only way to get hired at Continental is to know someone from the 'inside'. So, I will make the same offer I made a few months ago... So all you continental pilots out there listen up. I want to hire you!!! $1,000.00 to anyone that can get me hired at Continental! this...

What are they really looking for?

I have to agree with the 'knowing someone' theory. 5500 total, 2200 PIC CRJ, Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, B737 type rating, etc, etc... Have had app's in at Jetblue, Airtran, Continental, UPS, and Fedex. Not one call. Had interview at SWA, but got the '...thanks, but no thanks' letter.
