As I've been told since the beginning of my aviation career, "don't get yourself locked into a certain job because your lifestyle requires X amount of income".
Used to give drum lessons to this kid a few years ago. His dad(Mr. 500 pound truck driver) told me he flew F4's in Vietnam when he found out I was a Pilot. He also told me he used to sub for Buddy Rich(fastest drummer ever)......I was like yeah, why don't you tech your kid to play drums.
I'm at the Westin near the Fedex ramp @ DFW. They moved us onto the ground floor, and into a central room. The wind, and hail was insane. You could actually see the rain circulating.......First Ive ever seen!!!
We all know industry rates have been discussed over and over on this board. Let's just say a pilot, or group of pilots have been paid industry standard as a starting salary for a part 91 operation. What would be considered industry standard yearly raises for a midsized flight department in Texas...
How many of you work in Fortune 500 flight departments who have hired low time pilots into your organization? If so, how did these guys act after being typed/trained? What kind of flight times did these guys have?
