I agree with Labbats. Us carriers have had their opportunity to fix their problems and be competitive in a global market but instead they enjoyed their cheap labor and didn't put anything back into the company only management's wallets. I would welcome the ability to work for that pay and live...
be real interesting to see if they even start flying there own planes and how long it will last. PEX is going to operate Xtra separate for a while. Rumor has it PEX already has their own pilots but that is a huge rumor.
not sure it bounced as much as never was written. The purchase date was April 1 and that has obviously come and gone. It has been extended at least 2 times that I know of and still PEX has not been able to come up with the money. Too bad as the buyout might have been the only thing to save Xtra...
I would have to respectively disagree. While there is some truth to your comment I do not believe the statement can cast such a wide blanket that the statement assumes. Maybe someone has higher time but has gotten it by working at several companies thus learning new SOPs each time or has gotten...
been applying for almost two yrs and have similar times- nothing. not sure what the code is but for now Ill keep applying and maybe they will get annoyed at seeing my apps and call me.

I am pretty sure Boise knows he works at Xtra. Does he not want them to know that a guy posting anonymously on FI knows that he works at Xtra? I don't really care who it is I was just making acquaintances.
still it may not stop them from buying Xtra and then 6 months down the road close the doors leaving the crews wanting and Xtra's owners laughing as they got paid for a company that never made money and it wasn't their fault it folded.
I would say there is a decent possibility that it happens...
not sure why as I do not know the performance of the MD80 that well all I know is that some of the longer trips on to shorter runways they can't do whereas a 737 can.
FYI Xtra is for sale. For 10 million you can own an airline that leases all its planes, buildings and office furniture. And a...
So what does it cost for training? do they pay you back in one lump sum or a payment plan? Sadly with the 1500 hr rule coming soon I think that you will see more PFT. these companies are salivating.
