Lowest pay in the industry. Well my cracker jack union has only had 7 years to negotiate us a raise you need at least 9 years in negotiations to get raises, everybody knows that.
Yeah, the Catpiss callsign that allowed you to have a job long enough to merge with American. I can see why you hate it soooo much.
Lear, sometimes, well most the times, you're a putz
Seriously this. How much more money does it take? We already pay the highest union dues of any carrier and yet are the lowest paid of the Majors (thanks to USAPA and their inability to negotiate with US Airways- profitable for the last 4 years btw) and still they need to raid the money collected...
Exactly Carl. I only hope the East realizes that voting down the MOU does not stop the merger. All it stops is them getting off LOA 93 wages and work rules until the single carrier status is finalized about 24 months later.
Come on folks, it's been 7 years, let's get a raise.
...retro pay when the POR is presented in 6 or 7 months. We become AA and start building an Airline that can compete.
OR
2) USAPA plays the usual a**hole games. The merger proceeds but with separate ops kinda like the US Air merger is now. And then you can capture all the attrition and stay...
Already had 2 at US Airways West. Don't know about the east, I imagine their just gonna park a truck at K7 in PHL and just leave the hose running for the next 4 or 5 years.
Having worked in Tech for a long time before getting my chance to fly for a living let me tell you this; it Effing rocks. It was worth it; with three caveats:
1) Don't give up.
2) Don't stop at the regionals.
3) Start right now. Make your move, and run with it; don't let anyone talk you out of...
My bet: Philly and Phoenix reduced at best closed at worst. Clt stays as does DFW. The others probably are safe for a few years but I'm betting 6 big hubs DFW, LAX, NYC, DCA CLT and ORD.
My bet: It passes.
You know, it's funny; when the merger happened I was excited. I thought the US Air guys had had industry leading contracts in the past, maybe our group could learn something from them. Here's what we learned. You guys voted in LOA 93 on yourselves, you tried to disrupt the...
It is not. Our reps voted to not send this pos out for ratification. WD east reps voted to send it out.
Lear, please tell me the east is gonna throw this thing out!
From another board. West reps were against letting it go to the membership because it's a crappy deal. East reps want to let the membership vote to accept or decline. BPR recommendation is NO.
US Airways is already the proud owner of 3 regional airlines, if we buy American that will include AE so 4 regionals. My bet is that we are not even slightly interested in anything other than regional feed from Skywest.
Skywest is a great carrier and is fine on it's own.
IMHO
