First question: one should be free to picket or one should be free to go to work equally without coercion or rancor. Neither pilot should be mistreated for his/her action.
Second question: I talked with a good friend of mine the other day, another captain on the GV, and he would love it if Santulli bought us. I think I agree, upon reflection. Hansell is grating on my nerves. along with his senior management team of accountants and shysters.

I'm sorry, but how does a scab mistreat a striker? They just disagree. One stays out of work and the other goes to work. Both are doing what they think is right.

So I ask my question again: how does a scab mistreat a striker? The scab thinks the striker is trying to put his employer out of business, but doesn't mistreat the striker for striking. So why do strikers feel its ok to mistreat a a scab?

How can it be right to not stand with your friends? You are one of us. The union negotiates on our behalf against the company which is organized against us.

They are trying to take away from us and the scab helps them. Thats mistreating your friends.

Divide and conquer. Management by defintion is organized and negotiates with one voice. 3000 pilots cannot negotiate individually. We must also have ONE voice.

I don't t agree with the company. They don't NEED to compensate us less, but of course they WANT to. My only issue really with the union is tactics. And my personal loathing for anyone who thinks mistreating a scab is an ok thing to do.

Great question. My friends can disagree with me and decide to not go to work, without fear of ANY mistreatment by me. However, if I decide to disagree with my friends and continue to go to work, my supposed "friends" will hound me until I die. Shame on all of you who can't see the difference.

What you don't get this isn't a argument that you are disagreeing with friends Your crossing a picket line to fly struck work and step on the necks of those of us that are fighting for a better contract.

You can make up any excuse you want but you cross a union picket line you will have no friends. You are putting your own needs ahead of your fellow pilots and their families. I don't need friends like that and you come between me and my family.

Excuses excuses. You don't want to be in a union either leave or be a fees payer. It all comes back to you wanting your cake and eat it too.

Maybe you should interview some that have had that exact scenario played out for REAL..... Not on some message board. You'll soon find out the only "friends" you'll have will be other scabs....period.
