He sounds like a prick and he has and will continue to lower the service level to customers. I can see why someone with many years invested in providing a very high service level would feel betrayed and angry. Without question, some owners will get pissed and leave, but many will also stay and provide much higher yields. Looking at the recent numbers, the financial trend doesn't seem to reflect your assertions. In fact, it seems to indicate the contrary. I'm not saying you're wrong, you might very well be right. I am just interested in where you see the tipping point?

First question: one should be free to picket or one should be free to go to work equally without coercion or rancor. Neither pilot should be mistreated for his/her action.
Second question: I talked with a good friend of mine the other day, another captain on the GV, and he would love it if Santulli bought us. I think I agree, upon reflection. Hansell is grating on my nerves. along with his senior management team of accountants and shysters.

So I ask my question again: how does a scab mistreat a striker? The scab thinks the striker is trying to put his employer out of business, but doesn't mistreat the striker for striking. So why do strikers feel its ok to mistreat a a scab?

Great question. My friends can disagree with me and decide to not go to work, without fear of ANY mistreatment by me. However, if I decide to disagree with my friends and continue to go to work, my supposed "friends" will hound me until I die. Shame on all of you who can't see the difference.

What you don't get this isn't a argument that you are disagreeing with friends Your crossing a picket line to fly struck work and step on the necks of those of us that are fighting for a better contract.

You can make up any excuse you want but you cross a union picket line you will have no friends. You are putting your own needs ahead of your fellow pilots and their families. I don't need friends like that and you come between me and my family.

Maybe you should interview some that have had that exact scenario played out for REAL..... Not on some message board. You'll soon find out the only "friends" you'll have will be other scabs....period.
