PMFJI on yet another DL vs SW love fest. But you're comparing apples to oranges. SW is a LCC serving a handful of cherry picked US cities
DL is a global carrier serving 6 continents.
DL has a market cap worth nearly double that of SW.
DL is a Fortune 500 corporation, SW is not.
DL will be near 900 mainline aircraft in just 4 years. SW will not.
So, yes, we have RJ's, code shares, etc.
When you start serving more than just a few cherry picked US cities, operating various fleets, and are back in growth mode, get back to me. You're no comparison.
Now, back to DL vs SW or is it Red vs GL? I've stopped paying attention

Scoot,

Do you type it, and therefore it's fact?

Your entire post is a justification for oursourcing and codeshare. Maybe it helps you sleep at night...but it's still BS.

Southwest 'cherrypicking'? You mean we decide where we'd like to fly that's profitable and Delta doesn't? See how silly your argument sounds?

Aircraft orders? Yea, SW doesn't have over 500 orders for a company that what, half the size of DL. You forgot that part about SW carrying more domestic passengers than any other US carrier.....by far. No one else is even close Scoot. Check it out.

And for your big falsehood....

Southwest Airlines is number 164 on the Fortune 500 list. Maybe you should have checked first. Did you just pull this out of your arse?

I was done with this thread, but you posted so much BS that I got pulled back in. Thanks.

Besides the obvious lie, SWA is a fortune 500 company, maybe you forgot SWA flies more domestic passengers than any other US carrier? Cherry picked cities, oh.... you mean the ones your airline flies to as well? Or are do you want us flying into the ones Obama pays you to fly into?

When your pilots are flying your passengers, not an outsourced RJ pilot, get back to us.

And I think your CEO makes plenty of decisions based on what SWA does or does not do, thereby rendering your "no comparison" comment intellectually dishonest.

Cherry picked is about right.....don't deny it.

You carry the most passengers because as you connect people between cities you call them all originating passengers, not connecting since you deny a hub and spoke label. This was SWA managements words during the Wright argument.

Your right Bill, we double count everybody.

Want three legs? We'll count you three times!

Or are you talking about the 'Original' Wright Amendment that px couldn't be booked thru other cities? That ended years ago. 2006 I believe. Dallas passengers have been booked thru to their final destination for years.

Not true, DOT statistic only counts originating passengers.

How did you ever go bankrupt with all that glory? :puke:

Yes ladies (redflyer65 /Canyonblue), you cherry pick! You fly to 89 cities in 42 states! Hardly a world dominated carrier!
Yes ladies, you carry more passengers in the DOMESTIC US! Hardly a world carrier!
Yes ladies, your market cap is worth less than 1/2 that of Delta. Hardly a world carrier!
You had to pay for your job. Something that a lot of regional airlines do. Hardly a world carrier!
Your etops program has been scrapped! Hardly a world carrier!
Your 10 years of massive growth and pompous attitude are coming home to an abrupt hault. You have ZERO growth! Your massive Atlanta invasion has crashed and burned, much like your upgrade chances!
You are a regional airline, who's CEO is crying about pay cuts and cutting costs!
You are looking at massive stagnation. Enjoy that f/o seat at your regional airline, because you're gonna be there for a loooooooooong time...And by the way, from your next Air Tran captain, you'll hear, "gear up bitch!"
Don't let facts get in the way of your nut drainer, ladies!;)

but, but, but....do your people make $120-170,000/year in that right seat?
do your people enjoy 18 days off while on reserve?
maybe they do. I have no idea.

And MOST (not all obviously) A/T captains are happy to be over at SWA. They've had their pick of the schedule as top seniority FOs, and will soon be most of the upgrading contingent.
Wait till they get a taste of that left-seat pay...wooohoooo. People might sing a different tune shortly.

Scoot,

You got called out for falsifying the facts and then try to throw spin back (ala the General). Who said SW was a world carrier? You arguing with yourself again?

Just man-up and tell us you got it wrong, or stick with your crap/spin and continue with little to no respect. Kinda like the General...yet again.
