Not even closed to packed on ATL-MCI Gen.

Take a look, starting even next week until the end of May (after Memorial Day).

Most all of those flight are really pretty empty, but you keep running those empty planes General. Some have 90-110 EMPTY seats.

I'm not a 'my airline is better than your's' what-so-ever. Just have to refute some of the BS the General tries to throw out there. Just slinging poo as usual.

Delta is a fine airline with good management team. SW is good. We'll both be fine, I guarantee!

I never said your airline or any other was in danger of anything, just commenting on the article. Then you threw out an incorrect statement about DL's profit, and then again failed to see that if the last few years DL had multi billion dollar profits without a Q1 profit, and then this one has one, which might be a VERY good thing. It's just great that both have "good" management teams.

You said Delta would be full. News flash. They aren't, not even close. But keep running those 7 empty flights. Maybe RA will need to replace those MD's and 757's with the large RJs that are coming. Haha.

I say "maybe" or "might" because I am not a CEO. Speaking of "selling out", Scoot is right about paying for your training. Management really appreciated that, even though they could have easily afforded it. Heck, the AT 717 guys are gonna get free types on the 737, right? Amazing. And this last contract brought the domestic percentage for mainline flying UP, especially after taking your 88 717s and dumping 140 total RJs. That's improvement.

You mean they are all empty right now, or in 3 weeks? DL seems to have 2 to 3 times your net profit easily, so I wouldn't be comparing. I have a feeling they will all be full this Summer, and fees help them be very profitable.

Btw, did you watch CNBC about noon today? There was a group of analysts talking about Airlines and the sequester stuff, and that guy Njaraian (bald guy with a mustashe) stated how he thought RA was a "genius" due to the refinery deal, saying that DL has "oil people" running it, and that at $90 a barrel (long term price that many analysts think oil will stay at) DL should be printing money, primarily because DL "got rid of the middleman." I immediately thought of you, Red "J.R. Ewing" Flyer. Have a great one!

Talk about CLASSIC. Yes, YOU know more about companies and oil than analysts that look at this stuff every day....... And one walk up business class fare in First Class on the MD90 costs more than 20 of your seats. Business people don't always book 3 weeks in advance. You know that... It's a different type of product, one that costs more.

Not psychotic, it just reminded me of YOUR rants. Look, smarter people than you and me are running this stuff. RA and GK are probably geniuses. I didn't slam GK, I just stated what an analyst stated on a specific show. He gave sound reasoning about why he liked DL and RA. The other analysts seemed to agree in the end. That is a good thing. I just brought up the topic because it reminded me of things my "buddy" Red said...

Wait, you just gave up RJs of a sort---88 717s that were flying to smaller cities (like Bloomington, Charlie West, Tunica, etc). Those are now going to DL, and they will take over those routes, and do well. Also, as this ATL article states, you are NOT a hub and spoke anymore in ATL, you are now switching it around to point to point, right? Well, DL is a hub and spoke airline, with some feed to smaller cities that can't support anything but a 50 seater (like Valdosta). Cities like that need a small RJ or a prop, and those planes fly to ATL and do feed DL 767s to LAX. A 717 would NEVER fill up at Valdosta. You can say all of our flights should be done with mainline, but your airline does do some INTL flights with Volaris. (not as many as DL does with SkyTeam etc, but some none the less) So, not all of your flights are done with your crews, so you do the same thing, at a smaller scale.

I know you said you have had 40 straight years of profits, and that is impressive. But, you have had some close quarters recently, and that was because your hedging was bad, or whatever. There will be some ups and downs, and the 3 legacies are now in an upswing due to consolidation and fees. Even your airline merged, (how well, it remains to be seen) and that will help us all. But, the 3 legacies are going to expand a lot, and will become revenue generators. That means a good chance for solid profits for years, and that is good.

It's Max, the AT guy trying to be the first AT Chief Pilot at SWA.

Nah, that won't happen. The SWAPA contract requires you to be a SWA captain for a few years before you can be a CP. And thanks to Max's seniority integration, he won't be a captain for a long, long time.

It looks like you have gotten over the SLI, and that is impressive.

That's because he helped to craft it. He was on our MC, General.
